Gaining

Anyone want to make their doctor mad?

I have a very specific desire. I want to make my primary care doctor mad/concerned with the amount of weight I've gained. To date, she has never seriously addressed my weight. At 395 lbs this is odd, of course. Perhaps she is a closeted FA?

How much do you suppose I'll need to gain in the next 3-4 weeks before my next follow up for my blood pressure/other random health issues? Thinking if I weigh in around 420/425 that should do the trick. Would be my highest ever recorded weight!

Been working in the medical field since 2017 and grew up with medical professionals all my life. Imma pop your bubble a lil bit.

Yes, fatphobic doctors are a thing. However, in recent years, the medical industry is working on dismantling medical fatphobia as studies show it decreases patient level of care. And so unless your fatness is causing you major health issues, many of them will not comment on it much if at all.

It's also highly unlikely that your doctor has any kinds of feelings for you outside of finding your pleasant or not. (Fun fact! Your doctor will notate on your medical records if your a nice patient to deal with.) You are more than likely one of several fat men she cares for. She also will probably not risk her medical license do to anything with you for kink purposes.

I do find it curious that you want to mess up your health enough to cause your doctor concern. Because that never ends well for the patient. Unless you are aroused by blood tests, pills, and medical expenses on top of the general pain that comes from high blood pressure.

But you do you, boo ~

Thank you for the reply. I appreciate your concern from a medical standpoint. I guess I was approaching the situation from a fantasy standpoint vs firm reality. To be fair, I’m already 395 lbs and have high blood pressure and mild-moderate sleep apnea. No other weight related ailments to speak of. Adding a bit more is probably not going to complicate those too much. I also know that realistically I’ll need to lose some weight to be around for my kids as they grow up.

If all you have at 395 is high blood pressure and mild sleep apnea, then that makes sense that your doctor isn't super worried. Both of these things are straightforward to fix for the most part. This is especially true if your labs look good.

In other words, while you may not be in the best of health, you are doing pretty good for your size and age.

I don't know if this counts as being a part of the medical industry, but I assemble wheelchairs for a living, and a lot of our clients are overweight or morbidly obese. And honestly we don't really judge. If anything being obese makes it easier for us to get Medicaid to approve the chair. The only time I've seen my boss get frustrated with a patient gaining/losing weight is when we've ordered a custom back support for them and in the couple weeks it takes for us to get the seating from our vendor, the patient no longer fits the mold

My endocrinologist usually gets on my case about losing weight.Though she's a specialist and they specialize in metabolic health, so she's going to be more concerned about my obesity than my primary care doctor. Though I am looking forward to seeing her in March, because with my new job being an office one I expect to blow up and I'm going to be huge by then since I don't plan on losing weight and it's very easy to gain while working an office job. smiley
