Walking

I went for a walk today for the first time in months. Now I'm sore in my lower back. I knew at 270lbs, it would be a task.

I am just under 5,000 steps for the day and will probably end up around 6,000. I've taken more steps recently, but today I did a big chunk at once - about half an hour (to pick up my son from school).

I plan on continuing this and eventually rampimg it up to hopefully 10,000.

But in the meantime, how should I approach this? I'd like to do that walk every day. Should I try it again tomorrow or skip a day to heal?

That could very well be the problem. My belly is pretty big. Is there a way to remedy this or will it come with more walking?

Work on your posture and strengthen your core, back, and hip muscles.

Plus size back brace. It helped me a ton when I was smaller, and they go up to 5XL . Just a suggestion.

Thanks. I plan on doing some strength training as well.

I like the idea. I'm going to try to work on making it easier first. If that fails, I'll look into a brace.

OMG same lol
Each time I take a step up the stairs, the knee 'pops'. I was advised to get it checked, since I'm just 24 and people usually starts getting some serious knee issues at their forties. And I'm just under my 200lbs so it is actually concerning.

I think is also related to the fact that my feet are inward, so maybe the position?
