I suppose like most of you I am proud of my weight gains and my hanging belly. I didn't get fat until these last five years and suddenly I found I had to deal with clothing for my expanding middle.
Do you wear bigger pants around your belly button? (I measure 53 inches there) Or, wear my pants under my belly? (I measure 43 inches under my belly.)
I have found that wearing my pants under my belly is the most comfortable - letting my belly hang over my pants and buying shirts that are big enough to cover my belly. My shirts vary in sizes from 2XL to 3XL to 2XB sizing (you can find XB shirts at Kohl's). 2XB sizing has normal shoulder and chest sizing but more room for your belly.
The problem with 3XL for me is that the shirt tails are too long. Also, my belly in many 2XL shirts stretches the fabric out tightly on the sides of my belly. I get a nice protruding belly look with the shirts untucked and since I am not wearing my pants over my belly, my pant legs look normal instead of pant legs that are "bloused out". I don't have a big butt or legs - at least not yet.
So, how to deal with the too long shirt tails when worn untucked? I know this problem is going to get worse because I still want to put on at least another 25 pounds. I weigh 240 now. Hmm. Maybe I need to learn how to hem up shirt tails - learn how to sew? Any advice on sewing?
So, do you wear your pants around your belly button? A lot of "fashion people" say that is the best look, but I don't agree with "fashion people" on most things when it comes to big belly wear. Several "fashion people" on Quora said, "Loose weight, you big fat slob." Yeah, I don't think they really get that we LOVE our big, heavy drooping bellies and we are gonna get bigger..!
