100% Can confirm the quality of some of Springfield's restaurants, but I am a bit biased lol. Bloomington-Normal sits as a near perfect halfway point for anyone coming from either St. Louis or Chicago. Plus, I-74 cuts right through it for anybody travelling from the East and the North West. It should be a pretty painless drive for just about anybody in the State

It would be a bit of a drive from the Deep South, but my wife and I would love it :-) We’re really wanting to be around more like-minded people for good eats, showing off clothes that show off our bellies and just having a good time with other gainers.

I’m down with a meet up but I’m in Chicago area would be nice somewhere close to Chicago not necessarily in the the city. Would love to meet others into this.

Just adding this but Springfield and Bloomington are accessible via Amtrak, meaning people with access to a nearby station don't necessarily need to drive.

Both can be reached using the Lincoln Service or the Texas Eagle.

I try and point out Amtrak as much as I can, so many American feedists don't really take it into account when planning "statewide" meetups. Definitely a great option for people.
