How do you start eating without thinking?

Every time I eat it's something I do deliberately with the thought out intent of eating (or eating a lot/"over" eating). I hear that snacking and eating without thinking is one of the best ways to gradually put on weight, but I'm not really sure how to start doing that.


Distracted eating is an easy way to do it. Binge watch while you binge eat.

How do you start eating without thinking?

I agree with the distracted eating. I think it helps to have snacks and/or shakes ready at all times. When you’re watching tv, eat. When you’re driving, eat. Even in-between cleaning tasks, eat. Choose to treat and reward yourself for every little thing. Etc. If you make it a habit first then the mindless eating will come much easier in my experience
