Has anyone here ever had an umbilical hernia before? For those of you that dont know what that is , its when your "innie " belly button turns into an "outie". I've heard it can happen but figured i would ask here.

Not a hernia yet per se but when I’m pretty stuffed the outer ring of my belly button does in fact pop out quite a bit on top.

has it ever quite popped out all the way? Is that how hernias start?

Nah I’m too chicken to really push myself. Should be my New Year’s resolution though 😀

They can be cute, and a side effect of gaining visceral belly fat, but there are some serious complications as it gets more severe. If your intestines find the hole, they can become incarcerated and body waste can get trapped there. Minor cases should be monitored, and more severe cases may require surgery. I think I have a very mild one, that I think began while pregnant. It is visible as a slight lump inside my navel, on the side "wall."

Christ on a bike! As if there aren't enough issues... honestly you'd think our bodies weren't designed for being x2, 3x, 4x x5 their normal weight!

this is our future... we are evolving! look how far (fat) we've come in just 2 generations? we will adapt....

so does it hurt when it herniates or is it a gradual change most people dont notice, i made mine pop out years ago but i think it was from low bodyfat, but some people said it looked herniated, i never had it diagnosed though.
