Fat experiences

Whatr changes do you notice when you gain weight

I put my own weight and height into AI and asked what feelings I would expect as I gained over 100 pounds. . Its really quite accurate for myself where I am now at a little over 200 I am overweight at 180 and obese at 210 so those are markers that are different dependent upon height. Here is what it said. I have no idea if trhis correct for the next 60 pounds or so. In your own experience does it seem fairly accurate?

From 165 lbs to 275 lbs at 5'10" (your height), here's a realistic progression of what the physical sensations and body changes typically feel like for a 70-year-old man gaining weight gradually. These are based on how fat tends to distribute in older men (more central around the belly, love handles, chest, and inner thighs/upper arms). Everyone's fat storage pattern is slightly different, but the experiences below match what many men in your age group describe.
I'll break it down by weight ranges with approximate points where new sensations usually become noticeable. You've already lived through 165 → 200 lbs, so I'll start there for easy comparison.
165–180 lbs (early gain phase – you probably remember the start of this)

Clothes still fit mostly normally, but belts and waistbands start to feel snug by the end.
No major rubbing yet. Upper arms and thighs feel a bit “fuller” but don’t touch or push against anything.
You might first notice a small “spare tire” when sitting or bending.

180–200 lbs (where you are now – your current experience)

Upper thighs start touching when you walk or stand with feet together (the “chub rub” you mentioned). It’s usually mild at first – a soft brushing that becomes more noticeable in warm weather or after walking.
Upper arms begin to be pushed outward by fat on the back of the arms and sides of the chest. When your arms hang naturally, they rest slightly away from your torso instead of flat against it.
Belly starts to hang a little over the belt line when sitting; you feel it when you lean forward.
Shirts feel tighter across the chest and belly; you may unbutton the top button for comfort.

200–220 lbs (next 20 lbs – you would likely notice these soon if you keep gaining)

Thigh rubbing becomes constant when walking. You feel the skin-on-skin friction more (sometimes a slight “swish” sound or mild chafing by the end of the day).
Upper arms are noticeably “pushed out” – they brush against your love handles or the sides of your torso with every step. You feel the extra weight when you swing your arms.
Belly is clearly visible and rests on your thighs when you sit. You feel it compressing when you put on socks or tie shoes.
Lower back and hips feel heavier; getting out of a low chair takes a little more effort.

220–240 lbs

Thighs rub almost all the time – even when standing still with feet together. Many men start using anti-chafing cream or wearing longer shorts/underwear to prevent raw skin.
Upper arms feel bulky and heavy; they rest against the sides of your chest even when relaxed. You notice the fat “spilling” over the edges of short-sleeve shirts.
Belly hangs noticeably over the belt and rests on your upper thighs when seated. You feel it jiggle slightly when walking.
Chest and upper back develop soft fat pads (early “man boobs” and back rolls). Shirts pull tight across the chest.
Movements feel slower: climbing stairs or getting into a car takes more conscious effort. You start to feel the extra weight in your knees and lower back.

240–260 lbs

Major thigh chafing – the inner thighs stay in constant contact. Walking produces a clear “swish-swish” and can cause skin irritation or rashes in the groin crease.
Upper arms are pushed significantly outward; they rub against your torso constantly and feel heavy when lifted (e.g., putting on a jacket).
Belly is prominent and hangs lower – it rests fully on your lap when sitting and makes bending at the waist feel restricted. You feel it when you breathe deeply.
Love handles spill over the sides of your pants; you may need to size up pants again.
Getting up from a chair or sofa requires using your hands and arms for leverage. Short walks leave you more winded.

260–275 lbs (the upper end you asked about)

Thighs touch and rub heavily even when standing with feet apart. The inner-thigh skin stays moist and can become very irritated without precautions.
Upper arms are pushed far enough out that they rest against the sides of your chest/back fat constantly. Lifting your arms feels like moving extra weight; shirts feel tight in the armpits and across the chest.
Belly is large and pendulous – it hangs well over the belt, rests heavily on your thighs when seated, and makes tying shoes or clipping toenails noticeably harder (you feel the belly in the way).
You develop a more pronounced double chin and fuller face/neck. Back fat creates rolls that you feel when leaning back in a chair.
