Are we turning into feabie?

Over the past few years I've seen a gradual decline of people making connections and seen a larger uptick of connections only with paid benefits. More catfish/scammers/bots/hopeful models have joined recently more than ever before.

It seems like the site changes at will, randomly, and the community is no longer being taken into consideration for what kind of changes should come to this site.

These were big red flag downfalls for feabie and now we see what has occurred to that site today. A shell of its former self.

So are we there? What do we need to do to improve this space?

Are we turning into feabie?

Idk, I'm not as active in the community as I used to be but here are some thoughts:
1. Only dating sites I ever experienced is FF and Feabie, on both there are desperate people, men desperate for women, women desperate for money, this creates a vicious circle. Solving this is not easy, unless we cut down on dating entirely and try to foster a community.
2. Message limits: I always found this stupid: do we want members to communicate or not? How many of you had someone they wanted to contact but couldn't because limits?.

people “seeking genuine connections” = I want to goon to feedies for free. I totally get why female feedees are the way they are food is expensive.

If you are genuinely seeking a connection maybe don’t insert feedism into every interaction, feedees are human beings too

The whole “pay to play” thing isn’t anything new in the kink community. I get the importance of the community part of it and in the grand scheme of things I do seek that special acceptance from someone who I could develop a relationship with in this space.

But at the same time I also come to understand that this is also a business. Just like other kink spaces out there. It’s especially true if it’s someone is someone’s side hustle to make an income, if they were a model/content creator.

As for my personal experience, yeah I’ve had my fair share of getting scammed and moments of letting some people down (and not to mention the criticism on the forums). But this particular site is one of the better ones that I’ve been apart of. Could I go other ones? More likely, but I always have trouble figuring out where to go. Especially where it feels safe to be myself within this current social climate of 2026.

This place has been worse and honestly completely dead as long as I've been on it. I found feabie has a lot more user engagement and activity before I got off of it but apparently is just as bad now. I've been thinking for a while now if someone were to make another app or community AND ALL IT HAD WAS A DECENT UI it would instantly blow the competition out of the water and people would flock to it, even happily pay to use it. That's all it has to be. Every single site for communities like this one is stuck in 2006 and or horribly mismanaged.

I have my own frustrations with this site myself. But where else would I go to appreciate plus size body types without getting burned?

Are we turning into feabie?

Hopefully you have noticed that we've been trying to build the community on here, with the St. Valentines day give away and Messy March, but it can be pretty difficult getting people to respond.

We're constantly working to try and make the site better, and sure the interface could be more modern, but I don't think this is the real issue. I've been on the internet from it's conception so i've seen the nature of it change over the years. I would say that in general people are less responsive than they were, not just here but on most sites. They seem less inclined to make connections, and many BBW dating sites and smaller sites have died as a consequence. People are more used to content and connections being delivered to them, rather than reaching out to get it. We try our best to provide and engaging platform/facility but it's down to you pelple to decide how you want to use it.

I can’t help but feel there is a strong sense of entitlement in this thread. Let’s not forget, FF is a site started by a guy (Hiccupx, above). As someone with a little knowledge of the economics of running a website, I’m going to stick my neck out and suggest that FF is far from a profitable venture, and the paid features are more to do with it paying its way, rather than it being a drain on the wallet of the founder.
