Gaining

Awkward health question

First off, I’m sorry. I am not a person who is comfortable with talking about this topic in any way, to anyone, but for my own health I have to ask someone who’s going to have some more knowledge than me.

I’ve just started eating extra to gain and my guts have definitely noticed. I’ve typically been a very healthy eater with very regular bathroom habits, and despite making the obvious unhealthy choices to up my calorie intake I’m trying to keep doing the best I can with my fibre and sugar, and feeding that microbiome. It doesn’t seem to be helping. Things aren’t bad, but it’s not great. Obviously I’m going to be going more, but does anyone have any tips on how to keep things feeling good and healthy? Do I just need to wait longer for my body to adjust? Do I need to eat more fermented foods? Would a gut microbiome drink mix help? I’m really loving everything else about getting fat except this. This is not great. Thank you in advance, I hope I never have to talk about this again.

Awkward health question

I'd wager that it is just the adjustment period that varies from person to person.

If you keep it up with fibre and fluid intake you should be fine.

If the problem persists you could look into what have been gaining on maybe there's some irritants that your body isn't used too

For example Xylitol the sugar alcohol can cause cramps and diarrhea. Its used for sugar free stuff.

Then cut that put and your bathroom breaks should be fine again

I’ve found taking a daily dose of ACV (1-2tbsp diluted in at least 8oz/240ml) helps my gut biome and overall gut happiness improves.
