Maybe for feeders the idea of fattening up a lover is so intense we forget the other aspects of a relationship. Then we meet the feedee and it turns out (s)he is a human being, and so are we, and even if the sexual aspects of it are ideal, we're just as picky as anyone else when it comes to making a relationship work. We have to bond on emotional, intellectual, spirtual, political levels as well as the rest of it. So we often let you (and ourselves) down.
But notice I said "often". Not "never".
