...You can change someone's "normal" if the new normal makes you happy.
I've done it.

You make a great point!!! Thank you so much for the insight, I think I forget sometimes that new normal is a thing that happens all the time - not to mention the era we're living in now. If stuff is already changing so rapidly, why should I be any exception? 😊

In the past few years if there's one glaring lesson I've learned is that people who really love you, will always love you no matter what, and they just want you to be happy.
To change and be who you really are, and see the loving people still around you, is a wonderful feeling.[/quote]
Well said!! I was actually thinking about this thread yesterday - I met back up with an old friend and she's just gotten HUUUGE
Had to be 300 pounds or more at 5'4, her belly had gotten super big and round, her face had gotten all chubby and jiggly around the cheeks and chin, she had just gotten really fat all around!! It shocked me how quickly it just felt "normal" though... her hugs were squishier and warmer, she kinda waddled around and had to catch her breath, it was pretty cute :>
It's amazing how even such a large gain can just feel "normal" after such a short time... It's inspiring, too ^^
