Gaining whilst remaining active

Sburbsiee:
So I’m finally indulging my fetish fully (plus medication side effects not giving me a choice when it comes to gaining). I want to keep doing fencing as I gain. Even if I become less effective over time. Is this a valid option?

It’s absolutely a valid option. Ever since I’ve been gaining (about 2.5 years) I’ve worked out on a stationary bike for at least 30 minutes and occasionally up to 2 hours (which I certainly wouldn’t recommend doing 2 hours daily, I just get carried away sometimes). At the same time I’ve been able to steadily gain weight at a rate of about 40-46 lbs per year, so it’s definitely viable and sustainable.

Though, it is worth mentioning that as you grow you will definitely need to adjust how you work out, especially with body weight exercises. Because the more you weigh, the easier it is to accidentally hurt or injure yourself. For example, I used to do push-ups fairly often but quit about a year ago. I tried again 2 months ago ,when I was about 50lbs heavier than when I last tried, and my arms were not used to or ready for that kind of extra weight. So I ended up with pretty bad pain for several days afterward. So it’s important to remember to think about what your doing, what it entails, and to remember the limits of your body.
But other than that, staying active while gaining is the best way you can go about it. It’s very important to stay as fit and healthy as you can while gaining. Good luck with it!
