Truthfully it's not so much of what do they use it's what DON'T they use. Here a lot of foods are naturally fatty because of the oil put and used to cook our food, on my profile I have a video of a few photos of home made dishes I've eaten recently and as you can see most of them are pasta, rice, fried foods and the soups are made with quite a bit of sunflower or palm oil cause you have to fry the blended pumpkin seeds before you put in water and let it cook. (Egusi soup) At least I can speak for Nigeria and Jamaica.

My BIL is Nigerian, so I'm slowly learning more about the culture. He's Yoruban, so they don't do the fattening room thing. But they are obsessed with thick/curvy women and fattening up thinner women. His friends and family are always feeding his spouse (my brother - a trans man). My brother is a small person - short and skinny.

I thought us Southern black people fed people up a lot. I'm finding we have nothing on Nigerians.

God, I love the Diaspora. We have a lot of general things in common, but I adore the way we put spins on things.

I love me some us.
