I know very little about furries, and would like to learn. I know there's crossover with feedism. If I were to guess what draws you to it, maybe the ability to choose your form? Anonymity? Playing a role outside of your norm?
If anyone would like to share, I'd like to know more. 😊
Pigpigpig:
For me a lot of it is expressing things about myself I can't/struggle to express irl.
When I was bordering on underweight and struggling with gender feelings, making a hyper feminine fat pig fursona was weirdly therapeutic for me. Seeing art of her happily indulging still gives me comfy feelings inside.
MickRidem:
Oh! Okay, that helps me understand. Thank you!
If I try to equate that in my life, it sounds similar to when I was underweight and would pad large clothes to extreme sizes. A physical and temporary outside manifestation of the feelings inside that can't be expressed through conventional means. Like an extension of your inner self?
Pigpigpig:
Exactly! Plus, while I've never been super active in the community, it's comforting to know there's a big community of fatfurs out there expressing themselves similarly.

Thank you for sharing! Are the furry - what do you call them, costumes? - expensive?
