I'd avoid retail unless you know for certain you'll be idle, otherwise these days I'd expect people to be cross trained e.g. you may be on tills for one shift and stacking shelves the next.
I joke at my retail job that they could promote the place during peak as an alternative to gym membership.
This is especially true as many retail stores like Walmart have downsized their workforce. So you will probably end up walking several miles every single day.
Not all WFH call centers are created equally. Many are on demon time and will make you go crazy. The stress is often not worth it.
