Would anyone happen to know a good recipe for a cake mix shake specifically to maximize the bloating portion of it? I'm not looking to use it as a gaining shake, but I've been told the cake mix will expand for several hours after drinking it.

Cake shakes are really easy to create. It's not a good idea use raw cake mix because it's harder to digest. Get a large blender and cut a big piece of your favorite cake with icing, I like chocolate cake with chocolate icing. Then add a cup of heavy whipping cream, a couple of scoops of vanilla cream, or what ever flavor you have on hand, and then some chocolate syrup to your tastes. If it needs thinning add some milk, or a little more cream. With a little experimenting you can get it to 2,000 calories. Cake shakes are cake added to a milk shake. And since it's for gaining always add lots of heavy cream.

Has anyone ever added any sticks of butter to their shakes? If you have, how did it work out?

Attentive Guy:
Butter is butter so not to worry it will do the job. If you think it tastes a little bland you could add either a strawberry or chocolate syrup to it. The cakes I use are white cake with vanilla frosting for strawberry syrup.

Hey there 👋
I hope everybody is doing well!
First, thanks for sharing your recipes. I’m currently looking for a friend.
I was firstly thinking of doing one with ice cream instead of cake mix - my friend doesn’t want it to be too thick. I think I still can try to modify the texture with milk, right?

Could I have your expertise?

Also, for that shake, I was thinking:
Ice cream
Condensed Milk
Full fat cream
Full fat milk
Chocolate syrup

Have a good day!

Would a shake made with a can of frosting, ice cream, a stick of butter be good

this one is SUPER simple but it does the trick for me - 10 oz whole milk, 10 oz heavy cream, and some flavor syrup if you want (like the sugar syrups used for coffee or chocolate sauce or whatever). i like to mix mine up in a 20 oz shaker bottle - easy 1,000 calories!
since i'm a beginner, i don't want to bite off (or chug) more than i can chew... i'll get to the denser ones eventually ☺️

HEALTHIEST SHAKE POSSIBLE

I have tried nearly every type of gainer shake idea over the years. All of them seem to cause a lot of inflammation and spike in your blood sugar leading me feeling ill and to eventual health issues. I experimented long and hard to come up with this very refined recipe.

-24oz Olive oil
-1 can of chickpeas (15.5 oz garbanzo beans)
-8oz walnuts (2.75 cups)
-12oz water
= (8180 calories/two days) 4090 calories

Blend thoroughly, consistency is similar to yogurt, but can be thinned with water.

These are all pretty much superfoods and are FODMAP. The mixture is balanced so that it will not make you sick from all the olive oil (My GI tract is very sensitive.).

This mixture has almost no flavor and mixes so well in water that you can mix it in every glass of water you drink all day. It can also be added to any other shake ingredients, coffee (will still taste black).

I have found it to be shelf stable, not needing refrigeration if stored in a sealed container for short periods of time, a couple days. (use your own judgment though).
