Meh, I personally think FF is toxic but I mainly stay because I know some good friends on here. I prefer Dimensions even though you unfortunately have to pay for a membership to chat in the community.

Really? Why do you say that? Genuinely curious

There are some definitely some real bad apples. But thereā€™s also some good ones too, and Iā€™m lucky to have met some. Youā€™ll definitely have to use your smarts and intuition to navigate any particular community really.

I agree although I just have a preference for websites that have a smaller userbase and traditional UI that isn't inspired by the current social media/Corporate Memphis style.

Just from my personal experience I have many stories to tell regarding bad memories on Fantasy Feeder. I won't deny I had bad memories on Dims too but most of them happened on here. Someday I write a DM about them to you and Arame.

Edit: I am not ashamed to admit FF's UI is bad.

Yeah Iā€™ve had some bad memories and moments on this particular site as well. But it helped me be more aware and cautious when it comes to who I speak to. Of course people do have their own preferences when it comes to their choice of community websites.

Alright I shall await your DM whenever you get it chance. šŸ‘

No worries! It stands for user interface. It refers to the visual layout of the device, software, or website.

Ah! Gracias! Youā€™d think after growing up with family members in IT, that I would know that. šŸ˜….

Zowee:
Due to my career choices and highly unlikely odds of finding someone, Im forced to appreciate Feedism as a community and a fantasy.

I just appreciate the support some give others and the community fighting negative stigmas associated with weight gain. I kept trying to enjoy some aspects on my own even gained a lot of weight to try it out. But itā€™s not sustainable long term. At least I have yall to share my thoughts judgement free.

Those who found someone special good congrats you won the lottery!

Being very fat does not always fit your job, but you need to pay the bills.

But like anything you donā€™t have to able or even good at something to celebrate and be involved, itā€™s what you make of it that counts.

I love seeing what other think, how they gain, or how they enjoy the rounder among us. The scheming, the what ifs, the food plans, ectā€¦ plenty to discuss and indulge your thoughts on.

Curious what you dislike about FFā€™s UI. Not all aspects are as i would design things, but i mostly like the way it works. I especially like that it works with my older WWW browser and (Mac) OS. Indeed, when Apple locked me out of any of my current equipment and forced me back onto a 2005(!) Mac with a 2010 macOS, FF still worked but many other sites didnā€™t.

Havenā€™t been on Dimensions since 2022 or maybe briefly in 2023, before the paywall, so donā€™t know how things are there now UI-wise. XenForo is popular and somewhat of a de-facto standard, but i found it very much of a hassle to post stories. (Had issues with stories here too, but different: insufficient formatting options.)

Personally iā€™ve had more human interaction problems on Dimensions than Fantasy Feeder, but also Excellent Experiences on both. Now that iā€™m in a life pattern where i only dip into the community once in awhile for a few hours or maybe a few days, being on a very limited budget itā€™s not worth it to me to pay for Dimensions. I remain very grateful that so far FF is able to provide as much as it does to folks like me for free.
