So, we have the English names for the three starters, Tsutarja is Snivy(snake/snide + ivy), Pokabu is Tepig(Tepid + Pig), and Mijumaru is Oshawott(ocean + water + otter, or possibly a reference to . The region is Isshu is also being renamed to Unova.

The Sugimori artwork of most Pokemon has been released, except for a couple of event exclusive Pokemon, and Hididaruma's Daruma Mode.

Also, Team Plasma is a reference to a plasma torch, which uses electricity and fire(which is what Zekrom and Reshiram use). Neater than Team Energy, I guess.

There's also a joke doing the rounds about Metal Gear Solid:

Tepig Boss = Big Boss

Definitely needs to be an update, the US release of Pokemon Black and White is March 6, 2011. For Europe, it will be March 4, 2011, and for Australia and New Zealand it will be March 10, 2011.

Also, the elemental monkeys are called Pansage (Grass), Pansear (Fire) and Panpour (Water), and the new female professor's name is Professor Juniper, amongst other new names being released.

An 'almost' official list of Pokemon names has been leaked, then IGN (and the official Black/White website) essentially confirmed them by releasing a bunch of names that all fitted perfectly with the leaked list:

For the record, the names that have been officially released are Cofagrigus, Drilbur, Braviary, Axew, Reuniclus, Gothitelle, Woobat, Patrat, Musharna, Gigalith, Darmanitan, Klink, Minccino, Blitzle, Sandile, Pidove, Munna, Zoroark, Zorua, Oshawott, Tepig, Snivy, Zekrom, Reshiram, Pansage, Pansear and Panpour.

Edit: Three more names have been released in the Official Nintendo Magazine UK; Excadrill, Alomomola, and Sewaddle. All three of these match the earlier leaked list.

Second Edit: Three more names have been released by IGN; Deerling, Basculin and Watchog. All three of these also match the earlier leaked list.

Third Edit: Three more names have been released by the Official Nintendo Magazine UK; Lillipup, Tympole and Timburr. All three of these again also match the earlier leaked list.

Right, Pokemon is back again! Or it will be soon, anyway. Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 are set for release in Japan on the Nintendo DS in June 2012, and feature two new forms of the legendary Ice Dragon, Kyurem, which are 'Black Kyurem' and 'White Kyurem'. The hidden/unused moves Freeze Shock and Ice Burn will be utilised at last, no doubt:

Nice a new pokemon game .

I like the part where it says the new games are coming out for the nintendo NINTENDO DS and not just for nintendo 3DS which i didn't buy and probably never will.

Seems nintendo kinda realized the fail 3ds was without pokemon backing it up. (i just bought nintendo ds for pokemon in first place)

Besides i have all my game changing tools in action replay for the DS so it will probably work on the new pokemon game
