To many guys, "friends" more or less means your group, your pack, the guys you do things with. If you move, or change what you are doing, clearly you need to find a new pack. If you ever go back to where you were maybe you'll reconnect with the old pack, but who knows for sure?

Which tends to be quite a bit different from what many women mean when they say "friend", I think.

I have no idea how you got that out of what I wrote.

I was showing that different people may say the same word,but mean something different. As a gross generalization guys mean people they do stuff with, women mean people they have a deep trust and connection with ( and Facebook means anyone you have a passing, remote, connection of any sort with)
