Gaining

Getting an "honest" body

No, I actually get the opposite.

I have hovered around 260 for the last 5 years, and all the time, I get the comment that it looks like I've lost weight.

It is kind of annoying to me since I don't want to lose weight. I wouldn't mind gaining weight, but I am not putting any intentional effort into doing so. I do like to get stuffed on occasion, and I recently had a really good stuffing week destroying thanksgiving leftovers, but none of it really stuck for more than a week.

I do like to work out, primarily lifting weights, which if anything, I would like to be told that I am looking bigger or stronger. I understand that it is often intended as a compliment, so I usually just say thank you and move on.

Then I come here, and see that I am 25-60 pounds heavier than the goal weight of a good portion of the people who are actively gaining, and it makes me wonder what I look like to other people.

Getting an "honest" body

Like your physical shape was a lie?
What does that even mean?
You are what you are big or small how could one even be a lie?
This sounds like the old "I want to live authentically " thing I keep hearing.
Why people have such a problem just being themselves seems crazy to me.

How people see you is none of your doing so how are you causing them to get a false impression.
If you look average people will see you as average.
I think you are worrying over nothing.
