Yo, can you stop making 90% of the stories premium content?

Not only is $10 a month a horrible deal for people who only come here for stories, but now half or more of the front page of Stories is premium content. Please fix this.

I agree. Put the premium stories in a separate forum

Hi,

Fantasy Feeder do not mark the stories as premium. This is a decision made by the content creators and authors on the site.

If you upgrade to view a premium story, pic, or video. Then the content creator gets commission for this.

A lot of stories are free to read, and some of the authors who post premium content post free stories as well. A lot of effort goes into writing fat fiction, and we think it is only fair that the authors get something for their hard work.

Thanks,

FF Team

Sounds like it’s your job to filter them then, not to make excuses. And don’t act like you don’t get a cut from the deal.

This is working as intended. They offer credit toward membership costs for authors than provide "premium" content.

The intent is to make the better content abailable only to paying members.

If you could sort them out it would not be tempted to pay "just so I can read those". Same with pictures, etc.

No critique here, it just indicates that this website is moving from a hobby approach to running like a business to turn a profit.

I suppose that means I should pull my stories off since I don't want a paid membership and should not give away what others charge for, but oh well.

Many of the premium story writers also upload free stories as samples of their work. If we filtered out the premium stories and put them in a seperate section then member's would be less tempted to upgrade, thereby reducing their earnings. This would affect the number of premium and free stories being produced.

In the same way that Facebook and other social networks insert ads into your news feed, these should perhaps be seen as a necessary 'evil' since they help keep the site alive.

Of course FF takes a cut which helps us maintain the website and develop new features. Obviously we can't do this without a budget.

FF has been a business since 2008.

Many of our most talented authurs are not bothered about getting paid and upload stories for free just because they love writing and want to give something to the community.

As I said, no critique. It takes work to maintain a website and people like to be paid for their work.

I assume FF has gone to the current model because advertising revenue has not be sufficient.

If FF wants to be paid for their "work" maybe they can reprogram this website to actually be functional. Instead of trying to capitalize off the only talent on the website: the writers of the community. Who in their right mind would pay 10 bucks a month for a website that can't even accurately tell you who lives in your local area, is beyond me.

There are few advertisers interested in a site like this, unfortunately, and I personally wouldn't want the intensely obnoxious ads that most major porn sites have up. The best they could do here would be to go Zuckerberg, and I'd rather not have them selling information to make ends meet. lol
