Clothes padding

Has anyone’s used this technique? I’ve seen it mentioned on here before.

If yes do you need to get it to set in a certain shape to stop it looking too fake?

I have it in ziplock bags to keep it airtight, so it's never fully dried and is still very moldable. If there's a technique I guess it's just getting it in the right size bags. I have a two gallon bag (not completely full) for the front and two quart bags for the sides. Just add it slowly so you can get a feel for how it will set.

With the two gallon bag I do have to fairly consistently 'massage' it so that it doesn't all sag to the bottom.

I’m so happy i found this thread. I’ve barely dabbled in padding before, but reading this made me want to give it another go. Right now I look like I just gained 50 pounds in the last half hour 😍🤤 although it’s not perfectly convincing. This is so much fun it’s stupid

Glad you're enjoying it! I agree, it was fun before but adding the real weight and shape to it made it so much better.
