There used to be a stereotype of the rich fat person. It would be someone well-traveled, who enjoyed fine dining, luxury, and high art. A gourmand of rich french cuisine and fancy tea cakes. I feel like I haven't seen that type of fat person portrayed in the media in recent years. What does modern high-class obesity look like?

Modern high class obesity is a kid who grows up with all the opportunities given to them to lose weight with money being no object, being offered anything from counseling for their weight issues to diet and exercise programs, but due to their priveleged lifestyle, they continue allowing themselves to become more and more obese as it becomes a habit as being lazy and overeating is always easier than eating right and exercising. These children often grow up into obese adults and with their parents help and support moreso than a child of average means, this provides them the perfect opportunity to continue becoming more and more obese. Also, modern times provide more of an accepting environment to become obese, as obesity is becoming more and more common and being mean to obese people is now less acceptable thanks to the fat acceptance movement
