Blocking authors

I've blocked someone solely because I dislike their writing, and the stories section is flooded with their stories.

So much so that I have a hard time swiping past their stories.

However, even having blocked someone... it won't make their stories vanish.

Could we pretty please block authors somehow?

The blocking feature in general is useless. All it does is prevent someone from messaging you. They can still view your pics, vids, profile, stories and chat (not privately though).

Actually just messaged an admin about this exact issue. Haven’t received a reply yet though.

As other users have advised. The block feature won't stop you from being able to see the blocked members posts / content. It will stop the blocked member from being able to contact you on the site.

Based on users feedback about the block function, we are going to look into improving this feature. So thank you all for your thoughts and suggestions. Keep them coming! 😊👍

It would be nice if there was some way to unfollow an author that has previously been followed. This functionality seems to have disappeared since the new site redesign.

To unfollow a member, click on the following button at the top of the page (the house icon).

This page shows you a list of all the recent activity of the members you are following.

Then click on the pink button at the top of the page that says 'edit members'.

This page shows you a listing page of all members you are following. Under each members thumbnail is a delete button (bin icon). Press this to unfollow a member and you will no longer receive notifications about this member.
