For those who made a lifestyle choice; pride is 1 thing though constant questions, annoyances/harassment from non-feedist (coworkers, medical staff, health/life insurance agents) can have an adversarial effect. Some hospitals make 'executive decisions' as an obese parent of 3 who is perceived to struggle with their weight will be higher ranked (out of sympathy) as a candidate for transplants/other surgeries than 1 perceived as an 'unrepentant fatty' who will hit the Popeyes around the corner after being discharged.
