I used to go to the gym quite a lot, mainly for cardio and other high-intensity workouts, but now I’ve finally decided to stop resisting and start gaining, I’ve come up with a staged plan to prepare to get fat:
- Limit cardio and start lifting weights/dirty bulking so that I build a good frame on which to pile fat
- Gradually replace sessions with WG-oriented pursuit, e.g. replace one session a week with a stuffing instead
- Once I’m big enough, quit the gym entirely
Not only will this hopefully help me with my gain long term, there’s something very hot about slowing and consciously saying goodbye to my old fit self
Has anyone got experience of anything similar. How long did you keep up with the gym after you started your gain. What happened when you finally stopped?
I wouldn't quit the gym entirely, there's still a ton of health benefits to going and it could save you from some heart problems in the future. Reduce it? Sure that'll reduce the number of calories you burn and help you gain faster. But don't cut it out entirely

I've gone back and forth between what I want my long term goal to be. My more reasonable goal is to be between 300-350 lbs but part of me wants to be 400+. So I'm curious to hear from people who have reached their cut off point, what made you decide to stop gaining weight and are you happy with where your body is now or do you want to lose some?

I took a small break from actively gaining weight, I basically just spent two weeks eating a normal amount of food and because my metabolism is so annoyingly fast I lost around 10 lbs. But somehow in that time I started getting stretch marks on my sides just underneath my armpits. The stretch marks on my love handles which had turned a white/purple color also started to turn bright red at their tips and grew a little longer. I have no idea how this happened since I lost weight. Either way I'm now going to try to gain it back plus a lot more
Morbidly A Beast:
sounds to me more like skin irritation on stretch marks that were already there. I tend to notice more stretch marks when I’m less bloated so maybe you justice noticed them not being as buffed up from losing weight. Skin and skin elasticity is weird
That's definitely fair, my body is just in a weird place right now because I've already gained most of the weight back. I can also feel the stretch marks on my love handles gettinh more agitated

Munchies:
Yes. They starve themselves, dehydrate themselves, hell they can't even season their food so it will taste good.
And then after all that, they mess up their metabolisms after all the stress and shock they put on their bodies. This is why live action superheros look more impressive in movies than on TV shows. It's not sustainable.
JN_TumLover56:
Really? Well I’ve heard of actors who do that method acting stuff and go on such fad diets to better suit the role. But for a superhero movie? That’s interesting to say the least. Probably something that nobody talks about.
Munchies:
Oh, it's talked about a lot. They mention it in interviews, behind-the-scenes clips, comic book spaces, fitness spaces on what not to do, and ED spaces on how EDs can manifest in men.
It might be that you aren't in spaces that talk about this.
They also dangerously dehydrate themselves in order to squeeze any water weight out of their body. Huge Jacked-man almost irreparably damaged his voice when filming the prison scene in Les Miserables. And in an interview he was bragging about it because he looks like an entirety different person in that scene. Which I mean yeah it's true he did, but that's not something to celebrate

I should have seen this one coming. Yet denial and fast food are always such a good mix (sarcasm). I feel it is a time to not try n over indulge in food n booze, as ive been getting winded just walking up the stairs n my chest continues to hurt doing basic tings. Yet I do desire much out of life, n want to not have major issues..
It's always good to take a break and focus on yourself, I just finished a short one myself. Take some time to exercise and work on your body, being fat and being healthy doesn't have to be mutually exclusive. It'll certainly help with your exhaustion, and depending on what your goal is and how much you're trying to gain that can keep you mobile for a lot longer than other people at a similar weight.

I have always struggled accepting the fact that I am into the idea of women or myself gaining as I really value my body's health and listening to the body's natural hunger signals. So stuffing really puts me off even though it's a fantasy. I also feel like I would want to experience a relationship with a woman into this, but I would also want a genuine connection and for her to value health as well. It makes it difficult to balance and know how to handle it, and meeting or talking to women into lighter feedism and not extreme gaining seems rare. Maybe I'm wrong though.
When it comes to myself my gaining desires fluctuate with arousal and I can one minute want a softer belly and the next I am happy with my abs again which makes it even more confusing. Are there any others out there who feel similar in regards to wanting to know how to navigate this kink and maybe meet others but also value health and the body so much.
This exact situation seems to be fairly common. In fact a lot of people, myself included are going for a muscle chub look. Being healthy and being overweight doesn't necessarily have to be mutually exclusive. Keep up with your workouts like normal and continue to eat healthy foods, just increase the quantity of food you're eating. As long as you eat more than what you burn you'll eventually start to gain weight. If stuffing isn't you're thing just take a grazing approach. Keeps snacks handy around you and eat throughout the day. Gaining while staying healthy is slower but it's definitely possible

Honestly I feel this daily, somewhere in the back of my mind my body still thinks I'm skinny. I work in a fairly small warehouse and since it was the end of the 1st quarter a lot of our vendors rushed out a bunch of product all at once to meet their quotas so there's a bit of backlog of boxes back there. And my little monkey brain keeps thinking I can walk between them easily but its really a squeeze.
Oh and also I managed to break the wheel off one of our rolly stools and that's the first chair I've broken in a while

has anybody here ended gaining weight due to a medication they were prescribed?
There is a quiet part of me that hopes I'll end up on some med that makes me blow up lol
SumoSized:
There's quite a few of them that will do that, and some crazy people on here have tried taking them even though they're not prescribed but the side effects just aren't worth it. You're best just smoking weed for the increased appetite or alcohol for the slowed metabolism.
TheBoarInside:
Ironic to say crazy people when most of them are psych meds
I mean if you're prescribed psych meds for legitimate reasons then it's best you take them. But there's a different breed of crazy out there who take them for the love of the sport
