Your favorite way to gauge how fat you're getting?

I use scales but as my goal is to develop a permanent belly hang, so looking in the mirror at my waistline is my true way to gauge.

How has feederism changed your morning routine?

When I'm actively pushing to gain and I have a later shift at work, making sure to eat something by 8am, otherwise I won't eat until 10/11 or until I get into town before work.

8am is the perfect time as I'm usually also able to eat again by 10/11.

What's the best way to slow metabolism

NYCBellyBlimp:
Alcohol, stress, working 2nd/3rd shift, and not drinking water before bed.

Glitter Jelly:
Not drinking water before bed slows down your metabolism? Does anyone know if there is scientific data on this?

If so I'd like to read it because it's always been a struggle for me to drink enough, period. Because of my poor sense of interception, by the time I feel thirsty, I'm parched and already dehydrated.

I read somewhere that dehydration in general can slow down the metabolism.

I got this by just searching for ways to slow down the metabolism.

Why are people so angry at fat acceptance movements on the internet?

I suspect a large part of hatred for fat people stems from society's opinion on what's considered 'beautiful'.

If the tides turned and suddenly being a morbidly obese glutton became fashionable, I'd expect 'thin shaming' to become a thing.

'look at you struggling to eat a large pizza'
'what's wrong? Can't afford to eat?'

Of course other factors likely play a part e.g. affects on health, but then people have gone to Tiktok quacks to try and get their teeth done on the cheap because they want to try and look good, so I suspect many of those factors would get tossed aside in order to try and fit in.

What were your hottest feederism related dreams?

Had a weird dream last night where the Greek Gods made a cheeseburger where every bite caused you to get fatter.

Don't ask me where the F this came from as the closest to anything Greek in my life recently was that I've been thinking of playing that old PS1 Hercules game.

Cost effective fast food stuffing

Casual Gainer:
I would check out what's available locally e.g. smaller chains/independents and sign up to delivery apps for the occasional offer.

Munchies:
Unfortunately, depending on where you live, shopping at smaller/local chains are not cheaper. Often times, bigger chain stores will charge significantly lower prices as a way to undercut the competition in small towns or rural areas.

I wasn't mentioning local just for price but value, for example, I find my local chip shop to be more filling than an equivalent priced meal from McDonald's.

That said, calculating the kcal may be more difficult.

I also regularly find vouchers from a couple of apps don't work with larger chains.

Obviously YMMV to any advice, even advice for larger chains may not apply e.g. McDonald's drive throughs cost more than the town centre ones where I live.

Regaining after losing weight, what to expect?

I'm curious about this as well as I'm currently trying to lose some weight to try and get rid of my 'ball belly' to regain later hopefully with more softer fat.

From what I've read, there are those who say regaining can lead to 'softer' bellies but then there are those who say they had the opposite, so I don't know how much e.g. diet vs genetics Vs previous weight might be at play.

Sedantary jobs

Be careful with WfH, more companies have been mandating return to office with a probable intent to get people to quit.

Shydutchie28:
Is it worth it for me to change from my active job to a sedantary/WFH job if I wanna gain weight? Will it have tangible results in the long run?

SumoSized:
It'll have some tangible affect on your weight. So if you're looking for a new job it might be worth seeking out a more sedentary job, but I don't think it's worth actively seeking one out. If you're real worried about gaining weight just trying adding a few hundred calories to your diet and that will probably make up the difference

Shydutchie28:
Yeah I am definitely gonna up my diet one way or the other, just wondering if it would add some extra results slightly faster, thanks for the advice tho!

SumoSized:
From my experience going from a working retail to working a more sedentary job at a really small warehouse. My appetite was a lot bigger when I was constantly on my feet all day, but I burned much more calories. Here I really have to struggle to eat enough calories to gain weight, but I'm not burning as many each day. I haven't been working here long enough to say what the result has been, but that's been my experience so far

I actually find when I'm busy at my retail job it's easier to go 8-11+ hours without eating.

I joke with people that they should promote the place as a gym.

How fat would you like to be?

My current 'realistic' goal:

Ideally I want a slab of fat across my waistline, staying under 350lbs for practical reasons.

I'm looking at potentially losing some weight over winter (work retail) to try and regain with more sub fat next year.

If I threw reality out of the window though, living somewhere 'fat friendly' with a suitable job and access to large amounts of food for cheap, then I wouldn't mind being 400lbs+ with my belly reaching down to my legs and being wider.
