Here We Go Again:
I’ve been obese since I was a young kid and just gradually kept gaining and was 420lbs by the time I was 18. I dieted in my 20s but the lowest my weight got was about 250lbs. Now I’m at my fattest ever at 622lbs and feel sexier than ever :-)

So amazing and such a huge (!) inspiration!
Awww thanks ☺️🐷

As someone who's slimness is disappearing fast, I can tell you're not missing much by not having that experience.
Haha so no FOMO there right 🤣

I have a VERY large tummy, and I'm still okay in my 2020 Camry. I just need to open the door all the way to get in and out, so I'm cautious about how I park.
I tried the 2021 Camry and I only just fit behind the wheel with the seat all the way back but then I couldn’t reach the pedals and my belly was already still pushing on the steering wheel.. so no go there.
I ended up going with the Kia Cerato- it’s really roomy inside and while I need to seat all the way back, I can still reach the pedals and my belly has a bit of room.
Who would’ve thought that the small hatch would be bigger inside than the 3 SUVs I couldn’t even get behind the wheel in lol.

I have an Optima. In other country's they call them K5's That seems to be the most room I have found.[/quote]
Thanks for that suggestion :-) I checked the car out- size wise they look a lot like the Cerato, which is great 👍

Thanks for all the suggestions! So I don’t actually think we have the Kia Soul in Australia.. I tried the Kia Sportage but the drivers side was literally smaller than my Mazda 2. Crazy, cos it looks like a big car! Guess it’s just big on boot space, but not driver/ passenger space.
I think I’ll be going with the Kia Cerato as that’s the roomiest car I’ve found so far.

The Toyota RAV4 is a spacious car, I am from Spain and I do not know if in Australia there is that model of car. But in that car you have room to put your big belly
We do have Rav4s in Australia! I actually wasn’t sure if I’d be able to fit comfortably behind the wheel, but I might check it out. Thanks!

I can see you now waddling to the dealership letting the salesman know the only way you’ll buy a car today is if you can fit behind the wheel and reach the pedals at the same time
It’s literally gonna be like that though 🤣 Specs and features are an afterthought. I need to make sure my belly fits behind the wheel.

It’s finally happened that I’ve gotten too fat for my current small car and am needing to upgrade. Does anyone in Australia have any recommendations for mid size cars with lots of legroom (belly room) and possibly wider doors? For reference I’m 278kg (617lbs), 5’8 and carry most of my weight in my belly.
I’ve driven the Kia Cerato and that is pretty good and comfy, but does anyone else have any other suggestions?
