Munchies:
There's a disgusting contingency of men out there who will falsely label women as scammers because they did not give them free porn. If you send a report with no context or send what could be perceived as something taken out of context, you may get lumped in with those men.
I've seen this before, but it isn't particularly common at all (and since you can't see reports, I don't know what you're basing your data on), but when it happens the admin team is quick to recognize what's going on. The most common issue is guys from countries with weak cyber security laws posing as women and trying to get money. Or catfish who just do it to get off but aren't looking for money.
Munchies:There have been many times a scammer stuck around for a long time because people would not report them. When you do your part to report them, you reduce the number of scammers.
Some new tools have been installed in the past year to catch the old accounts better. Reports are still important, but the most important thing is to
not give money or personally identifiable information (PII) to people you meet on this site. When a scammer gets banned, they can make a new account 10 minutes later and we're right back where we started. If nobody is giving the scammers money, they really go away. It's only a handful of guys and they do it for a living. They're not going to waste their time on a site that's not profitable.
I'm going to lock this thread now unless another admin would like to add something. Don't give strangers money or personally identifiable information.
