Let me introduce myself first. I'm a 22-year-old gay male. In fact, I consider myself quite gay, as I'm very attracted to men.
The thing is, I've decided to gain weight and be obese because I want to be. However, I'm very attracted to athletic guys. It's like I want to experience that contrast between being very obese and being with fit guys. Does anyone else feel this way or something similar?
Arame:
There’s nothing wrong with how you feel.
You would be surprised how many fit guys are attracted to fat bodies. It’s not as uncommon as society makes it seem. I’m sure you’ll be fine.
I've seen many fit guys on social media who like obese women. But does it also happen in the gay world? You know, fit gay men who like obese men?

Unfortunately, being fat is something visible to everyone you encounter, and you can’t control how they feel about it. Even if people aren’t romantically or sexually interested in you, many still have something to say about fat bodies and not all of it is positive.
The reality is - as a fat person you’re likely to get looks and comments, whether from strangers, friends, or even family. Some may express concern about health, while others use it as an easy way to make a joke at your expense. Sadly, fat people remain easy targets, and in many circles, commenting on larger bodies is still seen as acceptable.
The real question is... how much do you actually care about what random people say or do? Do you really want to let others dictate your existence or your happiness?
TheUltimate323:
Well, I don't really care much about the opinions of random people. I'm mainly referring to the opinions of people close to me, like family and friends.
You know, I've always been at a normal weight, but I have a desire to have a very obese body. Making that change makes me uncomfortable when my family makes comments like, "You need to lose weight," "That's not good," etc.
If a person who has always been overweight gains more weight, it is not surprising, however, if a person who has always been in a normal body weight gains a lot of weight, then yes.

I’m not sure how it is in Spain and the situation isn’t the same for everyone but generally assuming your family and friends aren’t evil people praying on your downfall they won’t say a thing and you’re overthinking it.
If you’re worried about it cross the bridge when you get there but for now you have a while until the concern comments come
TheUltimate323:
Here in Spain, it's not like the USA. About 15% of people are obese (BMI 30+). You walk down the street and don't usually see fat people.
HappyBigBelly:
I’ll guess it’s the Mediterranean diet that makes it less prevalent there? Indeed, it’s probably the healthiest diet plan out there…but growing bellies are so much more fun to view :-)
I don't know; these are very general statistics. Specifically in Spain, 4.5% of people between the ages of 18 and 25 are obese. I'm 22, btw. I'd like to be part of that low percentage. I feel destined to be one.

I'm not obese yet, but I have certain desires that make me want to be. I'm really excited about the idea of having a huge butt and thighs. Having a double chin, fat hands, etc. I'm really excited about being like that someday.

Well, in my case, I'm 22 and have always been at a normal weight. However, I've now started my weight gain journey because I want to be obese. I still have a lot to gain.
The truth is, I'm somewhat put off by the reaction of people who know me to my significant weight change, since it's no surprise to people who have always been overweight if they gain even more weight. However, if someone who has always been thin gains a lot of weight, then yes.

Well you’ll be very happy if and when you decide to get big and fat because despite being a fat straight man most of my admirers are fit gay men so w you.
I’m not complaining mind you it’s just I’m not into guys
That sounds good. So you're saying that many fit gay men love obese men.
I hope I can grow into a very obese body and find a fit boyfriend who loves my enormous fatness.

I'm 22 and I've never been overweight, yet I've always felt a "fat identity" inside me. As if my destiny was to be obese, and I was repressing it.
I've always felt a certain connection to fat people, like I should be part of them. And I've always been a person who loves food, but a lot. I would eat in large quantities, but I've always had this repression against doing so.
Now I've decided to gain weight and embrace my fat identity. To accept it and embrace it.
I don't know if I've explained clearly what you meant, but I'd like to know your opinion.
