I don't know if it's the same with age - biologically it seems to me that it will be harder to lose weight with age.
For me, periods of gaining weight occurred in the early twenties and then the end. In between and in the last six months I was on a reduction.
It was harder for me to gain weight in the early twenties, but then I had to change my thinking. The second time it was easier and faster.
Losing weight the first time was also easier because the calorie deficit alone was enough for the weight to slowly drop. Recently, I had to put in some effort to get off the weight.

Most people I met in my hometown were overweight. In a larger city, the percentage was smaller.
The biggest person I met was a family member I hadn't seen in about 10 years - he was withdrawn from us. His weight was one of the reasons we met. He weighed about 400 lbs. at the time.

The Civilization series is the best for me - low entry barrier but lots of room to maximize.
Part 5 in particular, although 6 wasn't that bad when they released the season pass.
Part 4 was ridiculous because the barbarians could destroy a modern plane if the RNG was in their favor.

I think it's natural - I play for fun. If I need to socialize a bit, I start WoW or another MMO. ESO is not particularly frustrating, but without "plus" it's more difficult.
I mainly play single player just to relax from people - I work with people and it's exhausting.

I was in a relationship where my partner quickly gained weight for some reason. At the beginning of our relationship it was about 200 lbs, and when we got closer she weighed about 300 lbs.
It may not seem like a lot, but my partner was short and her breasts were already big. When the next pounds came, the growing belly and breasts forced the use of tapes to support the belly, and sex was standing up with support on the counter or table. She felt uncomfortable lying down.

I had a situation similar to yours twice.
The first time was because I went from 152 lbs to almost 190 in three months. During that time I had to get my body used to the extra weight, so I focused on getting my mobility back. I had problems with my knees and ankles at that time. It took almost 2 years.
The second time was after I went from about 180 to 220, but then I gained weight slowly and my body gave me a signal that it needed a break.
