What is your "food kryptonite"

For me it's spaghetti and garlic cheese bread, bbq ribs, buffalo wings, cheese fries (especially with ranch dressing or fry sauce) salt and vinegar chips, the new spicy hot wings Doritos, Doritos with bean dip, taco salad, egg salad sandwiches, peanut butter shakes, and peanut butter ice cream.

Feedees: want "evil feeder"?

I used to have the fantasy of being kidnapped by a small group of women, locked in a house that was setup in such a way that I could not escape, and being required to gain a few hundred pounds before being allowed to leave.

It's kind of evolved to a fantasy where I go to visit a small group of female friends, only to find out they have worked out a plan to keep me there voluntarily, and fatten me up.

They tell me that with their combined incomes, there is no need for me to work, and they convince me to leave my job. In the fantasy, they had also made arrangements with one another to make sure at least one of them with me at nearly all times to encourage me to eat...

...just a little more, to wait on me hand and foot, and any time I intend to get up to do some sort of chore, insist that I relax and conserve calories while it is done for me.

Beware: fructose can make you

I just read an interesting article on how high fructose corn syrup causes weight gain. It's meant as a warning to avoid the stuff, but.....

Here's the snippet of the article that I found interesting.

Beware: Fructose Can Make You Hungry, Study Finds

Twenty healthy adults were included in the featured study, published in the journal JAMA on January 2.3 fMRI was used to measure the hypothalamus response when the volunteers consumed a beverage containing identical amounts of either fructose or glucose (75 grams). The two drinks were given in random order to all participants during testing sessions spaced eight months apart.

Your hypothalamus helps regulate hunger-related signals involving a number of hormones, including insulin, leptin, and ghrelin. The scans revealed that when drinking glucose, within 15 minutes the activity in the area of the brain involved with reward and desire for food was suppressed, which leads to a feeling of fullness or satiety. According to co-author Dr. Robert Sherwin:4

"With fructose, we don't see those changes. As a result, the desire to eat continues — it isn't turned off."

In fact, fructose not only did not suppress hypothalamic activity, it actually caused a small spike instead. Furthermore, glucose boosted the links between the hypothalamus, thalamus, and striatum, while fructose strengthened the connectivity between the hypothalamus and thalamus, but not the striatum. This is important, as the striatum also deactivates once your body senses it has eaten enough... According to the authors:

"These findings suggest that ingestion of glucose, but not fructose, initiates a coordinated response between the homeostatic-striatal network that regulates feeding behavior."

What all this means in everyday terms is that when you consume fructose, you may actually be "programming" your body to consume more calories, as fructose fails to trigger that feeling of fullness, and may even trigger continued hunger pangs.

I gave a funny answer before, and I suppose it's only fair for me to give something resembling a real answer. I'm actually extremely allergic to cats, but I like the imagery...

Imagine a cat in the wild. It 's beautiful, but more importantly, it is stealthy, dangerous, and powerful... and it's even more so under the cover of darkness.

Currently reading...

I like novels, but I usually read non-fiction.

Lately, I've been ending up at the local library about twice a week.

The books I have out now:

*The autobiography of Martin Luther King, Jr.

*Beyond repair : the decline and fall of the CIA

*The myth of the rational voter : why democracies choose bad policies

*Palestine : peace not apartheid

*The politically incorrect guide to global warming and environmentalism

*Hamilton's Curse: How Jefferson's Arch Enemy Betrayed the American Revolution--and What It Means for Americans Today

*Mastery by Robert Greene

*The 48 Laws of Power also by Robert Green

...You know... a little light reading.

Hamburger and onion rings... nice.

These are some pretty good ideas. In the past, I have sometimes noticed things about someone that made me wonder if a certain person was a feeder or feedee, but I never took it upon myself to try to verify it.

I've been thinking it might be kind of fun to have a small cadre of local and offline friends who are feeders, feedees, fa's, ffa's, gainers, and foodies...

...but any way you slice it, it'd be nice to be able to pick one of "us" out of a crowd.

I'll add another tell-tail sign....

Fat people who don't seem to mind being fat. smiley

What I really want to know is, are there any "tell-tail" signs that would allow someone to pick an FA, FFA, Feedee, or Feeder out of a crowd?

As time goes on, I become more and more convinced that Fa's FFa's, Feedees, and Feeders are all over the place.

I am interested in ideas about how to pick an Fa, FFa, Feeder, and Feedee out of a crowd.

At this point I'm about 90% sure at least 1 in 10 people (and probably more) is turned on in some way with/about fat, weight gain, and over eating.

I don't usually go out of my way to advertise my attraction to fat women or that irrepressible desire to gain weight myself and do things that cause me to gain weight.

If you were to meet me in person, you probably wouldn't pick me out as a feedee/gainer, fa, and feeder.

I am a... probably more than reasonably good looking smiley... guy.... and at the moment, a lot of people would probably see me as a little fat.

I used to be in really good shape. In a lot of ways I still am. I like having the strength and energy to do the things I want to to.

I don't go out of my way to hide my desires, but I don't broadcast them either.

I've tried waiting to actively gain until I found the right woman.... really, I did... but sometimes I just couldn't help myself....

So...

What are things you have noticed about people you meet offline that told you, "This person is a feedee, feeder, fa, or ffa"?

Type of feeder preferred?

I'd like the Carer/Encourager. I'm not at all into doms... but I'm perfectly happy to be the one doing the spanking.
