One I have also thought of trying is asking for second helpings
How about you ask for seconds, but
only after you've already HAD seconds!

While some people live in fear of people commenting on their gain, others relish the idea, e.g.
fantasyfeeder.com/cms/infusions/forum/view-thread.php.
My ideas for getting people to say something about your weight:
1. Complain about how tight your clothes are getting.
2. If someone else mentions their diet regimen, be sympathetic. "You poor thing! I could never do that!"
3. While eating something fattening: "God, this is so good! I could eat it all day!"
4. If someone offers you something to eat, say "Lately I NEVER turn down food!"
Feel free to add to these suggestions.
Also feel free to try them out and report on whether they work!

Just curious...did the pledge help at all?

I would just see how many time you can go up and down a flight of stairs in one minute. Pretty simple test.

What you're describing is very common.

There's no magic way. You could try tiptoeing around the issue and see if they get really interested all of a sudden.
E.g., you say "God, I've got to stop eating so much...I'm going to get fat at this rate..."

Everyone should come as their favorite snack.
