Being fat-- safety

While I find it more than a little detestable to ask someone if they were abused/molested, this is actually a commonly enough referenced occurrence that it's entered the realm of pop psychology. I imagine anyone who watches Dr. Phil or Oprah is familiar with this concept. But fat feeling "safe" does not automatically imply "safe from rape/incest/molestation."

Back in the real world, there are an innumerable amount of reasons someone's fat may make them feel safe. I personally feel that way, and part of it is that it wards off unwanted attention and advances, but not because I'm afraid of men as a result of sexual trauma. I just like that being fat allows me to attract men who prefer me in my true and happiest form - fat smiley.

In addition to helping me siphon out the (hopefully) more genuine men, it also protects me from being bothered by the other kind hitting on me. Yes, one part of me enjoys the flattery, but that style of advance has nothing to do with what makes me "me," so how flattering could it possibly be? I don't get it, I don't like it, and I really dislike being objectified (until we're on an intimate level, and in that case, by all means, treat me like your sexy piece of meat).

The point is that we all have a psychological relationship with being fat, and with the impact our size/shape has on our place in society. I like the fat side of life for a lot of reasons, and it's a shame that someone is using a concept they saw/heard somewhere in the media-ether to draw assumptions that they are in no way qualified to make.

If it ever comes up again just explain that a fat person is less likely to suffer serious traume if they get hit by a car. Why wouldn't our fat make us feel safe? smiley

Stuffing: favorite feeling?

georgejorge wrote:
I think my favorite part is actually the morning after, where I'm still bloated but also famished.

The other part I love about this feeling is that it feels like proof that I'm actually fatter from the huge amount of calories the night before.

As far as the stuffing itself, my favourite feeling is how my full stomach pushes my belly downwards, and the bulge that is my lower belly competes extra fiercely with my thighs for space. Heaven!

New gainer club

I think your biggest problem with responses to this might be the relatively small amount of people who happened to check the forum at the right time. If it were advertised to members in a way they're less likely to miss, I think you'd see a great response!

She's off to a fast start.

It is fast, but so much depends on a person's metabolism. Mine was at a standstill from under eating before I started gaining, and I put on 19lbs in 8 days. And it stuck!

The helpfulness of gainers

Have you tried snacking? And how has replacing regular foods with exclusive fatty foods and carbs? For me personally, carbs are key. They also are digested more quickly than protein (and dairy, if I'm not mistaken) and this might help you eat more frequently.

I understand wanting to stretch your stomach and gain by stuffing, but anything that makes you puke is going to make it that much harder to get back in the saddle. If your goal has to be gaining at all, I'd put the idea of gaining fast aside for a bit. Try to foster your love for food. I developed a utilitarian, vaguely unpleasant relationship with food during my first big stuffing binge. Granted, I'm a natural gainer, but if I didn't cease the stuffing and rebuild my desire to eat, I never would have gotten this fat!

I'm here if you think I can help (even if it takes me a little while to get back to you!)

Picture theft

My pictures from my previous account, 84LilRascl, were stolen and posted on curvage, then made their way to tumblr.

It's probably long past the point now, but if anyone comes across any tags or threads with my name, I was not asked and definitely did not consent.

Good idea starting a thread for people to get the word out, and hopefully some help smiley

Gain speed vs fat distribution

Jazzman wrote:
I believe that the fast gaining twin would have a larger belly. Given the difference in gaining speed. I think the weight of a very fast gain goes more to the belly.
But if Rascl gains the same amount again but slowly it will be very interesting to compare. Her initial gain was one of the fastest I have ever seen.

I'm flattered you remembered me!

Gain speed vs fat distribution

Great question! I've wondered this myself, and am currently trying to do a slow-burn gain after a big rapid one. I'll let you know if I see a difference smiley

My guess, however, is that by the end of that year they'd look the same. My body shape changes while I'm gaining- bigger, puffier belly, for sure- but as the weight settles on me during the few months after, it winds up going to all the usual places- thighs, bum, then belly, and general additions everywhere else.

I think the culprit if a couple things. 1- bingeing causes bloating, 2- bingeing causes the stomach and muscles to expand, but they bounce back over time. And 3- skin takes time to stretch and accommodate new fat. The biggest thing I've noticed is how firm my fleshy bits feel when I'm gaining, and how soft and jiggly I feel once I'm maintaining or losing. That says skin elasticity is a factor, too.
