So much of my wife's weight came because of the kids (not the pregnancy). We never had snacks in the house until them. First she started coming home with party-size snacks "for the kids' sleepovers" (we have to be prepared, right?).
And then she went from nightly dipping into that cabinet to creating her own snack cabinet along with the kids' snack cabinet.
The weight started piling on. But in her mind, everything that she buys is "for the kids".

From my experience, most unwittingly put on 30-60lbs. And then they and their peers get used to them being heavier. Once they accept and even use the word "fat" self-deprecatory, they usually completely let go and become really large.

My wife had that comparison anxiety hanging over her for a while.
Her family got used to it very quickly.
And then after a few years she finally realized that everybody she interacted with in her daily life NEVER knew her as being skinny. All of her co-workers and new friends only knew her as heavy and never even thought anything of it.
When they saw photos of her skinny on the walls in our house, they assumed she had a sister.

It's a guilty pleasure of mine to be in line and taking tabs on some 400lb woman's cart.
As a fit guy, it still blows me away to see someone casually buy an entire small cake for themselves as a snack. 😲

The other week I re-injured a former rotator cuff injury (I suspect tendinitis but haven't been able to get an official diagnosis), so OHP has basically become impossible. I've been doing some home-rehab which includes a light-weight Arnold press, so I tried replacing my usual OHP (dumbbells) with AP at about 80% of the working weight and experienced no problems. If I press overhead with a strictly pronated grip, my shoulder starts to hurt about half-way up; as I rotate my grip from supinated at around the same height for AP, there's no pain. Why might that be?
So needless to say I'm going to replace OHP with AP for the time being. In doing so, am I at risk for losing shoulder mass in any of the 3 heads? I imagine that AP doesn't hit rears quite as well?
Not the right forum. What was your injury, a muscle tear? Tendon tear? If you're experiencing pain at even 80% of a "working" weight, I would halt any shoulder work, period. Shoulder injuries can be like back injuries – they never go away. Very serious.
What has your doctor said? Steroid injections would heal a tear much faster.

I'm currently 29 weeks pregnant with my first and I'm pretty bummed out I haven't been the norm of being pregnant. I've actually lost over 15 lbs instead of gaining a ton of weight. I was so sick my first trimester and in my second I just didn't have much of an appetite. I have def been trying so hard to gain weight. I'm now in my their and hoping some part of my hormones clicks on to have me eating like a damn pig. My belly is certainly a lot bigger, but I do wish it looked like a traditional round pregnant belly. I carry in a b shape. At least I can look forward to a ravishing appetite when I breastfeed. Also, I don't necessarily have a pregnancy fetish, but I do like adult nursing and looking forward to my milk finally coming in.
My wife lost weight her first pregnancy as well. Not because of nausea. She just didn't get the appetite. She was barely 100lbs after nursing with our first. It was the 2nd where she had the conviction that she was going to "enjoy this last pregnancy" and ingrained a new lifestyle of hedonistic overeating that has lasted for 6 years since.
It's so cute watching her polish off an entire pizza still talking about that 6 year pregnancy weight.

I never even discovered this fetish until my wife's 2nd pregnancy and the appetite and weight she gained.
If money was no object.....

How often do you have sex?
2-3x a week. It has gone way DOWN since she's gaining and all she wants to do is eat and watch Netflix at night. She's simply so passionate about her nightly takeout and new shows she's chomping at the bit to watch. I still have mixed feelings about the "fat" lifestyle.
Do you feel like your relationship is built off love or lust?
Definitely love, 2 kids, it's sometimes a challenge to strategically play on your lust and still need your own private time to unwind.
Do they know that you love fatter people?
Yes, of course.
How do they feel about themself?
She's not in love with her body (lol what girl is!). But is in LOVE with the lifestyle and hedonistic nature of it. So there's some clear cognitive dissonance she's still working through.
What activities do you like to do with them?
Neighborhood cookouts with good friends (almost nightly). Our neighbors are much bigger, too! We're also big travelers (which usually involves big eating!). Adventure. Not lazy cruise traveling. We like going to see the Northern Lights, mountain hiking, etc. She really hit the wall with the hiking recently at her weight.

The first person I ever met that was an FA was a college roommate. I didn't really know how to process and perceive it at the time because I wasn't into it.
But he married a fairly thick girl. And she got absolutely massive their first 3 years of marriage. Well over 300lbs. I knew his preferences and this was no random outcome.
They both were vegan which was a weird twist. Living on almost an entire corn-based carb diet gets you fat fast. It's why they feed pigs corn!
Nonetheless, he stayed a walking skeleton and she would get out of breath just standing up.
