So I guess it was an anomoly. My last weigh-in had me up 1.2 lbs and it didn't make sense to me. Today's weigh-in had me up 6.4 lbs - more than making up for last week. Haha.
I've gained 18 lbs since the begining of July and now weigh 212.8. I love it! But I really do need to slow it down. I wasn't upset about only gaining 1.2 lbs last week. It was just weird given how much I ate. Now I just have to figure out how to eat less. Tough when you love doing it!

As I was leaving the grocery store this morning, something in my cart beeped. An employee came over to check my receipt and said, "It looks like you bought the whole store." I smiled and said yeah I did.
I'm finding that I am more open in public about all the food I eat. At Wendy's a few days ago I ordered a bunch of food sat at a table and ate it. When I was done, I headed back to the counter to get a frosty. The cashier, astonished that I was back at the counter, looked at my belly, looked back up and said, "how was your meal?" I said it was delightful. She gave me a larger frosty!

My family is away this weekend so I made and ate a batch of these pancakes for myself. I've been making this recipe for years. It's simple, but delicious and much better than boxed crap.
Makes 8 pancakes
1cup all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup milk (I used 2%)
1 egg
2 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp melted butter
Butter for the griddle
Whatever toppings you like.
Mix the dry ingredients then mix the wet ones. Finally mix them together.
Heat your pan or griddle to medium (maybe a bit higher)
Melt butter and add 1/4 cup of batter to pan. If you can fit more than one go for it! Flip when brown, but not burnt on the bottom.
Repeat until all batter is used.
The recipe on its own is about 1000 calories then add butter, syrup, whipped cream etc and it adds up quickly. Enjoy!

I’ve often wonder this about people who yo-yo in weight and re-gain and lose weight. It seems, just from popular models in the community, each time they regain they get flabbier, vs plump and “inflated” so to speak. Maybe age plays a part, but a couple I’ve noticed who were rounder ended up squishier and doughier, with more love handles and hanging belly than a gut or pot belly
I have never experienced it in my previous gains. It would make sense if age is a factor. Regardless, I'm liking this!

Loss then gain repeated does exactly this - softer & more out of shape etc.
I'll take it! Softer is something I've been aiming for with no success before now. Makes me wanna gain quicker haha. But, no, I'm on a mission to do this over time. Time to stop the yo-yoing!

I've noticed this gain is much different than other gains I've done in my life. I'm only up 12lbs, but the fat is sitting very differently than in the past. My belly is squishier, my love handles are bigger and my chest is softer and bigger. I don't think I've done anything differently, yet my clothes don't fit the same way they did when I wore them when I was losing.

LydiaFatOttter:I do a ton of cooking for myself, but I'd love some ideas for good food that's semi-easy to make, tastes good, and is cheap and somewhat healthy (as gaining to 400 pounds can be).
Anyhow, I tend to get minced meat, beef trimmings, and bacon as standard.
I was looking for a meal with a max of about 5 ingredients, not counting herbs, spices, oil, and such.
I know we all love our sugars, but I need to keep that under control, sadly, so starches, fats, and proteins mostly.
Also, the goal would be 2500 to 4000 calories a day on a budget of 75 to 100 Aussie dollars a week.
So, anyone got any good ideas?
Munchies:www.appetitemax.com/blogs/weight-gain-blog/cheap-high-calorie-foods[/quote]This list is pretty good. I forced myself to not have fast food today. I wasn't sure if I could do it. So I ate stuff I had at home already - most of it is in this list. I'm at 2100 calories with dinner and a snack (maybe 2 lol) to come. I will cross 3000 easily.

Morbidly A Beast:
My guess is that you’re under estimating how many calories you consume just to metabolically function while also underestimating how many calories you burn in daily activities
You need around 4500 calories just to sustain 350
NoMoYoYo:
I've looked at a few weight gain/calorie requirement calculators based on age, height, weight, activity level and rate of gain. I've seen as low as 2250 and as high as 2500 calories per day for my 205 lbs (for now) to gain. Who knows how accurate the calculators are? I over shot the target by over 2000 calories per day last week.
Morbidly A Beast:
That’s the thing there only as accurate as how precise you are being in your variables. I would just keep at it despite fiction you don’t get magically fat overnight it’s a process. It helps to love eating and stuffing
I do love eating and stuffing hahaha. In my years of gaining and losing, I've never plateaued this quickly. Maybe this past week was just an anomoly. Just seems strange to me.
