Exercise routines

NoMoYoYo:
I am looking to add some exercises as I gain more weight.

Is there a Youtube channel or something similar that focuses on people who want to exercise while gaining?

I know walking and strength training are good. But I do better when I can watch somebody show me what to do.

Honestly your best bet is just watching normal fitness YouTube and for the most part ignore the dieting advice. Personally I really like Jeff Nippard's videos, he backs up all his workouts with studies. Plus he has good presentation and for the most part his workouts are easy to follow. As for the dieting advice you should follow, just make sure you're getting enough protein and not just eating junk food. And I like to try to eat a minimum of 3000 calories a day on top of that

Reccomendations

Ahhdipose:
Hello everyone im looking for stuffing recommendations anything besides the standard chug heavy cream reply looking to get the most calories out of one meal

If you you're trying to gain weight I really just recommend the grazing method rather than stuffing. When I first started intentionally gaining weight I was also drawn to stuffing because it feels like you're eating more and you feel all heavy. But what I found was that it actually killed my appetite for the rest of the day. Just focus on eating bigger meals than normal (but nothing crazy) and then toss in a few hundred calories worth of snacks every couple hours.

It's the small things

Sophie115486:
So I find that whenever I am not seriously paying attention to my gaining is when I lookup and suddenly my closet is less and less amenable to my body size.

I wanted to know if there were any small habits you all had that led to big changes on the scale!

Munchies:
So many feedists think that they need to eat like ... 2 gajillion calories a minute. But, in truth, little changes made over time are usually enough to start filling out.

Definitely true, I used to be tempted to step on the scale every single day to see if I made any progress but I would just annoy myself because my weight was just fluctuating up and down. But then I didn't check the scale basically at all between November and December and I had actually gained close to 12 lbs.

What are your best weight gains over 6 months??

During my first year of intentionally gaining weight I gained about 45 lbs between the summer of 2020 to the summer of 2021. But that was mostly lean muscle mass because I was very skinny and I was a high school freshman during the pandemic so I put on muscle mass quickly. Since then I've averaged around 20 lbs gained per year, but my body is weird so the speed and amount of weight I gain fluctuates a lot

What is your favorite type of belly content?

I really like before vs after content, something about it excites my caveman brain seeing someone go from skinny/average sized to bbw/bhm

Daily "i'm fat" reminders

Increased cold tolerance has been a nice little perk of gaining weight. Back when I was a twig my arms would start to look purple any time the weather dropped below 45 degrees. Now it doesn't bother me as much, and when I'm inside relaxing I have a much cozier feeling
Mind you I'm also from Texas so that's a pretty big trade off because my heat tolerance has dropped exponentially, doing literally anything down here in the summer is hell. And I swear when I was skinny I would hardly sweat at all, and I've certainly started to sweat a lot more.

New sensations

Jjcoolguy:
As I have put on about 30 pounds this year it wasn't until the last 5 or so pounds that I suddenly began to feel so many new sensations. Its not something that comes and goes after a big meal or wearing something tight and fitting. I now feel my belly resting on my belt, the new belly roll that is forming and how my moobs have a permanant hanging feeling. How my new gains roll and hang depending on my movements or body position. Having been under weight most of my life, just having something to pinch or grab was new, but now being able to "feel my body" almost like a constant presence is new. All of the new sensations are surprising and amazing at the same time. I feel as if my body sensitivity has sored. Even sex with my wife has gotten better despite my concerns that it would be a turn off for her.

Do these sensations ever fade? There isn't a moment of the day where I am not conciously aware of these new bodily sensations.

At 5'4" and 185 pounds I can't imagine what it will feel like with another 30 or 40 pounds. I am just starting to get a belly and love touching it and staring at it in the mirror. I can't even imagine what it will feel like to have a big round gut or hanging belly. I haven't grown out of any clothes yet either, but I can finally see my moobs and belly slightly protrude even when empty. I still have my reservations as I have always loved sports and have always considered myself an athlete. I don't know how my friends or family will react to more gains, but It is something that I have always wanted for a long time.

Any tips for handling new gains? I would love some motivation and more places that I could find ideas or insperation from.

It's definitely an interesting experience gaining weight when you're starting off skinny. I remember when I first started gaining weight, I started with muscle mass and once I got to around 180-190 of lean muscle I noticed weird changes like my lats being big enough that they slightly pushed my arms up, so my arms don't naturally rest completely flat at my side and as I'd outgrow shirts my shoulders would cause the end of short sleeve shirts to flare up at the end to rest on my deltoids.
It was also around that point when I started intentionally gaining fat too, and while I've had some new sensations, mostly having to reach around my small, but sometimes annoying belly it hasn't been as strong as the sensations from putting on more muscle.

Fat at the gym

Delta9:
For any fat people thinking of starting lifting to get stronger or going to the gym or exercising at all, I say go for it. Let this be your official encouragement. And if you're already strong and thinking of getting fat, do that too. You can still continue to exercise.
It's actually pretty hard to lose weight with just exercise alone if you continue to eat a lot.
But exercise has lots of benefits other than weight loss.
It doesn't hurt anything to build muscle under all that fat. You'll still look fat. But will be able to move it all around easier. You can build stamina and VO2 max as well without losing any weight. It's actually somewhat possible to be simultaneously overweight and in shape.
Personally, I like fat women. I also like strong women. Put them together and wow, even better. I was just reading someone saying how surprising it is that there isn't a larger intersection between feedism and gym culture. Honestly though, I think it's kind of there already. It just doesn't get talked about. Maybe I'm wrong?
Fat people tend to be naturally strong already anyway. I mean carrying around extra weigh all day is just built in exercise. The few plus size girls I do see in the gym can usually lift heavy.
Maybe there is a stigma against it. People assume you must be there to lose weight. But like I said, there are plenty of reasons to lift or exercise other than weight loss. Actually, I'd say strength training is probably even better for weight gain than loss.

Munchies:
We stan the muscle chub crowd.

It's not that the strong fat crowd is a minority. It's that a lot of feedists equate exercise with weight loss and avoid it like the plague. Several of them get weirdly hostile about exercise so most of the strong fat crowd keeps it on the down low.

But that's been changing lately. I am looking forward to the kink diversity to become more public.

It seems like so many people in this community have an immobility fetish even though most of them will never reach that level of fat. So they want to be as unhealthy as possible and actively reject things that could improve their quality of life.

Hell yeah, I don't think most people realize that weight loss primarily happens from dieting. Exercise just increases the calories you burn in a day so as long as you're not in a calorie deficit you'll continue to gain weight. Also this is personal preference but I just think muscle chub, on men, women, and everyone in between, just looks more aesthetic
