Gaining safely

Squirrelscanbeblue:
I suppose you suggest weight loss as your idea?

Nah, fam. I'm saying that if you think you can avoid diabetes by drinking milk and eating carbs before bed, you are sorely mistaken.

I've been dealing with type 2 diabetes all my life (got down to pre-diabetes at this point), and I have a background in biology. I'm an ex-gainer turned feeder who has had several feedees and helped various playmates get fat safely. I know what works, what doesn't, and why.

This is not it, fam.

This will not provide you with any special protection, and it isn't inherently healthy or low-risk. This is not to say it's the worst thing in the world, but it is on par with those copper bracelets people get to soothe arthritis pain.

It won't kill ya, but it's not making you healthy, either.

"Consuming dairy foods within a balanced diet can help lower risk for T2D. "

Or dunno I spose you could advocate weight loss on a gaining forum

Smh. The data on dairy preventing diabetes is conflicting. Some studies show that it decreases the risk. Others show an increase. It isn't very well understood at this point.

pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8026335/

diabetes.co.uk/food/milk-and-diabetes.html

medicine.washu.edu/news/formula-made-cows-milk-not-increase-diabetes-risk/

healthenews.mcgill.ca/does-dairy-product-consumption-influence-the-risk-of-diabetes/

As you can see, the evidence is conflicting on whether drinking milk helps prevent diabetes. And those that do reflect it only show a 9% risk reduction.

9%

You have better results buy walking, which decreases your risk by 39%.

That said, the consensus is that drinking milk in moderation is good.

Squirrelscanbeblue:
Milk raises insulin. Insulin is used by the body to turn carbs into fat, raising the levels means more carbs get turned into fat. Insulin promotes growth in general, it works wonders on baby calves. Diabetics occasionally require erogenous Insulin to clear their blood of sugar, sugar that is then metabolized as fat.

Where in the world are you getting your research from?

Yes, dairy causes mild insulin spikes.

Mild.

If you consume reasonable amounts of dairy and carbs, you will not experience any health issues. However, this does not mean consuming this will prevent you from having diabetes.

And if it was enough to spike your insulin levels significantly, that's not good either. If anything, it will increase your risk of diabetes. Ever heard of insulin resistance?

If you eat too many carbs, your body will increase your insulin levels to cope. This makes your body less sensitive to insulin and increases your risk of diabetes.

So, no. Carbs and milk are not going to save you from diabetes.

Also I said milk prevents diabetes, not causes it

You are missing the point. It doesn't prevent it. It doesn't cause it, either. At most, it can exacerbate existing diabetes, but that is it.

Milk has been proven to raise insulin in various studies

Yes. Raise insulin. That doesn't mean it causes diabetes. The research is not clear. You speak to 10 different doctors on the matter and get 10 different answers.

That said, if you are otherwise healthy, milk will not cause any health issues—provided you aren't consuming insane amounts of it.

Looking at you, GOMAD crowd. Y'all crazy.

As to diabetics drinking milk, your milage will vary. Milk has carbs in it, but not crazy high amounts of carbs. If you don't feel bad and don't overdo it, you'll be fine.

You need to raise your insulin by drinking milk and load up on carbs preferably right before you go to sleep in order to gain quickly and avoid getting diabetes

Who told you these things?

Consuming milk and carbs will not help you avoid diabetes. While the jury is out on milk's contribution, carbs have a well-documented history of being linked to the condition.

It's also possible to be super healthy and still get diabetes.

With that in mind, the best way to gain weight while minimizing health risks is to eat a high-calorie, nutritious diet while getting light to moderate exercise, preferably with a mix of cardio and strength training.

Rapid gains aren't safe or healthy either. Not sure where you got that idea from. Slower gains are better as they give you time to adjust.

Does anyone enjoy being "a little chubby" ?

Pattcaster:
Does anyone enjoy being "a little chubby" ?

My apologies that the question is so vague since "a little chubby" can mean so many different things.

I've been on and off this site for years so I've heard people saying they want to be massive. But not much about wanting to be chubby but not massive.

Some examples of different sizes that may give a visual picture.
● A woman of average height and an average amount of muscle being around 170 lb.
● A 6 feet tall man of an average amount of muscle being around 210 lb.
● A woman of average height and an average amount of muscle being a 16 U.S. dress size.

That last one doesn't mean anything, tbh. US women's sizes mean absolutely nothing. Hell, back when I had 36 inch hips, I owned a size 2 skirt that was baggy on me.

It was an a-line midi skirt.

That said, we do appreciate the slightly chubby around these parts. Although there is some debate on what classifies as "slightly" chubby when it comes to body shape.

Two women can have the same BMI, body comp, height and weight. But depending on how that weight settles, she is either thick, curvy, or chubby.

Belly button question.

LuvsChub04:
After my most recent gain my innie belly button has almost disappeared .I have no clue why, anyone know why this has happened.

It means you gained a good deal of subcutaneous fat.

Correction:

I thought you meant it was buried. But then I went to look at your profile to see if there are any recent pics of you. And then I saw this:

fantasyfeeder.com/pics/photo

Imma level with you chief. I don't think this is all abdominal obesity. This looks like you have liver cirrhosis. I'd post pictures of what I mean, but it can get pretty graphic and I don't have a way to spoiler it.

Anyway, liver cirrhosis is a combination of fluid buildup and having a fatty liver. I'm not sure if it's the lighting or not, but you are also looking kinda yellow. I hope it's the lighting because if it's not the lighting, that's a sign of your liver shutting down.

I know you've said that you are a functioning alcoholic, but from the looks of things, you aren't going to be functioning for long.

Stay safe, man

2 years in. my experiences. my wins+what not to do.

Iridescent Pearly:
It's been about two years since I joined this community. I've had ups and downs.(mostly downs) but that's expected when you live in a world as lively as ours.

Aside from being an espresso with a D at the start. I guess I wanna kind of give a recap so people don't do what I did and have a smoother journey than me.

DISCLAIMERsmileyThis is my story so yours will be different and is not the definitive truth.)

Lets start with the not so great experiences I had and how I learned from it.

MESSAGING)

Starting with being TOO nice. It's great to be kind we all love nice people they are truly a treasure in society. But unfortunately I gave too much of my aces to some very very selfish people, who took advantage of my kindness. Draining my patience and finances. I WOULD literally make posts saying I'd be someones feeder. IT DOESN'T WORK. It does the opposite infact. I had a live in feedee who ended up being 10 years older than me, and I felt like I was raising a child it became very one sided. No were not a thing anymore.

NETWORKING)

AVOID Feabie. If you are unfamiliar with this website. I strongly advise that you stay away from there. The site evolved from community to self promotion very quickly. The mods are NOT inclusive its even a fineprint when you sign up, so my fellow queers you are not welcome. I complained on the site and I got perma-banned. But that was one of the best things that could happen.

IN PERSON)

IF YOU HAVE A BAD FEELING THEN ITS PROBABLY RIGHT. I consider myself lucky because I've had so many close calls. I can't tell you how many times, I've had met the most desperate and touch depriven people that really really wanted to come over to their place only for me to elaborate a clever story on how I need to leave.

WHEN THINGS AREN'T GOING YOUR WAY.)

Don't do what I do. I complain and whine. No one likes whiners. Things are hard but it isn't impossible. Don't obsess over why you got blocked, or someone isn't responding. Some people handle rejecting others differently than others. I mean hell I've had people make straight up mean comments on why they don't like me. But I'm still here. WHY? I have no Idea hahaha.

GAINING WEIGHT)
I WISH I COULD TELL YOUNGER ME THIS (even tho its only been 2 years smiley). Don't rush the weight gain. It will come, like all things in life its a process. I found that when I turned 24 my metabolism decided to go on vacation and my weight shot up 60lbs in the past 1.5 years. You wont magically become 300lbs if you eat 10 cupcakes (even tho it feels that way) enjoy the process of gaining . Now I gain weight unintentionally I don't think about it you can see my progress in my own profile pic.

I originally was gonna post something about complaining how I am going to be a loner forever. But at least I can speak my mind on this site and not get banned.

Thanks for reading!

-Zoe

These are all good takes.

I also wanna add that if you feel out of your depth, like you don't have enough life experience to handle these kinds of spaces, it's okay to take a break.

Never underestimate taking the time to work on yourself. Not only will it be easier to form connections, but it will also be easier to avoid bad situations.

Body contrast domination

SkinnyFeederSub:
I think in the right relationship I'd be willing to try having an extremely greedy feedee deprive me of my food consistently so she has more to help her grow bigger as I get skinnier so the contrast is immensely huge and any kind of facesitting or laying on top would completely trap me maybe even sitting on my chest gorging herself full as I'm starving. I think that would be a sexy but dark type of feedism relationship

This is how you end up with an ED
