I think a lot of people don't intend to gain much weight. But once they start, they love it and keep going, and gain faster

As an adult, no matter what the situation is, you have to let the people around you, especially your parents know that you are an adult, and any decisions you make, right or wrong, are yours to make. You have to let them know that you don't welcome their comments about the decisions they disagree with.

I agree with the others. There is absoletely no reason to get married. She will probably stay thin until you two divorce. Then she will gain 100 pounds, and you'll wish you had her, but she will be gone.
