*The Locket scene, from Deathly Hallows*
Umm, spoiler alert I guess?
Locket/Riddle: I've seen your heart, and it is mine! I've seen your dreams, Ronald Weasley, and I have seen your fears; all that you desire is possible. But all that you dread is also possible.
Least loved always by the mother who craved a daughter, least loved now by the girl who prefers your friend. Second best, always, eternally overshadowed.
*Riddle Harry and Hermione emerge from the locket*
Riddle-Harry: Why return?? We were better without you, happier without your, glad of your absence...we laughed at your stupidity, your cowardice, your presumption.
Riddle-Hermione: Presumption! Who could look at you, who would ever look at you, beside Harry Potter? What have you ever done, compared to The Chosen One? What are you, compared to the Boy Who Lived?
Riddle-Harry: Your mother confessed that she would have preferred me as a son, would be glad to exchange.
Riddle-Hermione: Who wouldn't prefer him, what woman would take you? You are nothing, nothing, nothing to him.

Souvenir!
--Wally AKA Kid Flash, from Young Justice
-I was the General, but behaved like a soldier and sacrificed myself. I am not fit for command and must resign as team leader.
-Who do you recommend to take your place?
-Artemis is too raw, and untrusting. Kid Flash too rash and impulsive. Miss Martian remains too eager to please. Superboy carries too much anger.
-Making Robin the logical choice...
-But he is so young...
-Calder, you're all young.
-I cannot shift this burden to him...not yet. *sigh* It appears I must withdraw my resignation.
Calder AKA Aqua Lad to Black Canary, from Young Justice.
Was I in there??
Paradox, Ben Ten: Alien Force
*Looking at the ruined earth from the surface of the terraformed moon in the distant future*
-This is what the earth looks like after years of that creature running rampant?
-You've brought us to the worst possible future!
-No, should I fail to stop the time-space anomaly, this is your best possible future.

My thought was based on the fact that throughout the EU novels he continued to be only loosely tied to the government that the Rebel Alliance helped set up, often going against it's wishes and ruffling more than a few feathers.

Ehh, Batman's actually more of a Lawful Good Scoundrel, if we're maintaining the D&D Alignment System.
Here are some well-known pop culture examples of each alignment.
Lawful Good: Batman (though he's considered a Scoundrel as well), Superman, Indiana Jones, Angel the titular character from Angel, The Doctor (from Doctor Who), Mario
Neutral Good: Buffy Summers, Spiderman (though he's also a Scoundrel), Zorro, Link from Legend of Zelda
Chaotic Good: Captain Malcolm Reynolds, Robin Hood, Dr. House, Captain Kirk, Luke Skywalker (at first, but he gradually becomes Lawful Good)
Lawful Neutral: Captain Picard, James Bond
True Neutral: Han Solo (in his earlier parts, he becomes Chaotic Good later on), Lorne from Angel, Tyrion Lanister from Game of Thrones, The Borg from Star Trek
Chaotic Neutral: Ben Linus from Lost, Captain Jack Sparrow, Wolverine (prior to joining the X-Men), Gambit from X-Men, Elim Garak from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Lawful Evil: Darth Vader, Magneto, Dracula
Neutral Evil: Sawyer from Lost (in the early seasons, anyway, he gradually becomes Chaotic Good), Mystique from X-Men
Chaotic Evil: The Joker, Sylar from Heroes, Pyro from X-Men, pretty much any villain who wants to "destroy the world"
I got Neutral Good.
Also I liked all of these, except for where you say that Luke became Lawful Good. I feel like he stayed Chaotic Good, or possibly became Neutral Good because he clashed with the government far too often to be Lawful good *my two cents*

McD's is actually the only one I can't eat at. I like all the other chains, just something about McD's that tears my stomach up everytime I try to eat something from there that isn't on the breakfast menu.

Just to clarify, there shouldn't be any splitting of hairs over the term "spiritual knowledge". There is a difference between knowledge and faith, yes, but you can have knowledge of your own religion and dogma.
Also, my point about all men being little divinities was solely based on the fact that according to almost every religion we are created in the likeness of the gods. This meaning we have the capacity and desire to understand and reason.
