Your star sign

The Only Weigh is Essex wrote:However I can't help but think of this when it comes to Star Signs (sorry Americans and young Brits - you won't get this joke)!

It's a puppet!

This seems like a good time to add that "fun size" is a woefully inadequate term. A "fun size" piece of candy should be one you can hop around on like a moon bounce.

Totally agree.

When it comes to something like chocolate, surely the amount of fun is proportional to the size of the bar!

Yeah, you wouldn't get away with rubbish like that in other contexts...shot glasses becoming 'fun-sized pints' would cause rioting...

This or that?

Oswald. You've only just taught me that he exists, but reading up a bit, he makes the history of the thing more interesting.

Tangerine Dream or Kraftwerk?

What *is* fantasy feeder?

Well, you can't blame them for getting confused...the name of the site is so cryptic...like that time I considered joining the conservative party, only to find it was full of bloody conservatives...they were awfully mean about me singing the praises of Clement Attlee, Nye Bevan and Tony Benn...I think I've milked this analogy... smiley

Plus size and petite

Short fat girls are lovely! They're big and small at the same time, a most gorgeous contradiction. Sort of like the TARDIS, but both on the outside... smiley

So yeah, while I don't think height would be a deal breaker for me, short fat women are pretty awesome.

Someone who seems to spend the majority of his time on this site being nice to people on this very thread smiley

Your other interests?

A lot of things, mostly music related.

->Music
- Composition. I like to write my own stuff, mostly for orchestra/chamber groups, but I've also moved into using other groups/sounds since getting cubase.
- Playing. I'm a grade 8 double bass player and have played in orchestras for most of my life.
- Listening. Obviously. Pretty wide tastes, from 'classical' (which basically accounts for about 500 years of musical history) to rock, jazz, ambient/dark ambient and a lot of other stuff.

then there's also:
- Drama/Theatre. I enjoy a good play, particularly if I get to be cast in it/involved in some way.
- Reading.
- Science, particularly evolutionary biology.
- Constructivism (1920s soviet art movement). Ties into my musical interests, I plan to write academically on the subject in time. Which leads onto...
- Learning Russian. Partly to engage in research for the above, partly...well, everything else...
- Gaming. Give me a good and/or interesting game and I'll be pretty happy.
- History/Politics.
- Comedy. From the Goon Show to The Thick Of It, Terry Pratchett to Tim Minchin, I enjoy having something good to laugh at.

And lots more. So I'm not just a pretty/horrific(delete as appropriate) face.

Reasons behind your name?

'Diggers' is a nickname I've acquired, various people and groups I've known have called me it, it seems to be an obvious (to them) derivative of my surname, and it's grown on me.

1917 - I'm not a Bolshevik (any more) but the year of the Russian revolution sticks in my mind. I also studied the period in detail for my degrees and would eventually like to do more professional academic work on the music of the era.
