Why is obesity attractive to you?

chowmein:
what do you like about it? for me it is the fact that it is viewed as something "bad" by society. the fact that it is a bit "forbidden" in society is attractive. so it's like a humiliation kind of thing, like it makes me feel bashful. it has a submissive feeling to it and a sneaky feeling. but also can feel strong and powerful and confident. i love fat dorky/nerdy people and also fat dominant tough kinda metalhead people who would bully and tease me hahaha. i could go on. it really is a lovely thing. food brings people together and in some cultures obesity is viewed as beautiful. for example indian belly dancing or something like that. i can't wait to fall in love and enjoy all things related to feeding and food with someone. travel the world and experience a vibrant life and also eat many different things with them. i would love to hear why others enjoy this type of thing as well. food is intimate to me, obesity is intimate and vulnerable. it is showing a softness. even if you're a tough guy who is big it still shows a certain softness that is so charming to me

I actually find the fact it's taboo a turn off in many ways. It's odd but heaviness, softness, roundness, the blissful joy in seen when my wife is eating, these are the things I find attractive. But yet there is still the fact that it's not common nor accepted that irks me. Most of my coworkers have very fit, smaller partners with a lot.of.tone who don't make a low moan when taking a bite of good food.

So the indulgence and the "fatness"

What "awakened" this fetish for you?

EpsilonAlfaTau:
It seems like there is a weight gain episode in nearly every series, especially cartoons. Makes me wonder how many people have the fetish and don’t even realize it

That coupled with the praise of weight gain in early years. Being a good eater (easy to feed as an infant) is such a big deal for most parents and now (at least in the UK) with growth charts in the first few years of a child's life, eating and gaining, coupled with the cartoons (which now must be body positive to sell) likely make for an interesting development.

Looking back as well to the 50s and 60s, consider the Flintstones [and all that it spawned] with overfed husbands etc.

Subcutaneous fat

Misaka:
Is there any good specifically sweet food, which make you gain mostly subcutaneous fat?

I know about heavy cream and peanut butter, but what about nutella and milkshakes? Or what are the most effective strategies to gain subcutaneous fat?

Sweet is the issue as high sugars tend to lead to a more visceral gain. If the sugars are coupled with a fair amount of fiber then there tends to be a better balance.

Fruit milkshakes (or cream shakes) can be a fairly good balance. My wife makes them with bananas berries and cream with a squeeze of carob or agave. 1000kcal for a smallish glass (220ml), full of fiber, sweet, sating.

Another one is eton mess (whipped heavy cream, berries, crumbled meringue)

I've said it before on here, but I often see people trying to get max calories from cream in one large sweet bomb.

That's fun if you're a feedee who loves that stuffed feeling, but a lot will pass through.

If you're looking to gain, try aiming at 600ml a day but used across meals: half and half over cereal, cream on your fruit, cream in your coffee or tea (the wife loves Chai made with cream). Cream sauces for fish and pasta. Cream and cheese in a vegetable bake.

Then cream in your pastries as a treat.

Anyone a smoker?

I used to smoke cigarette and cigars.

I found them a great way to suppress my appetite when in the field.

They were also very social. Back when smoking was allowed indoors, offering a cigarette at a club was a way of starting a conversation. After the ban, stepping out allowed for conversation away from the music or the crowd.

My wife smoked until we decided to get pregnant.

She thanks quitting for the boom in her appetite, the gain in her fitness and the improvement of her skin tone.

It's one of the things most people complain about when quitting: weight gain.

I didn't experience it as I quit whilst on 2 month leave but was straight back to pre deployment training and hence had no opportunity to gain.

@fatandfabulous, Id avoid the habit, it has no health benefits (quite the opposite by most measures), suppresses appetite and costs a lot.

NB, I say by most measures as those with Ulcerative Colitis appear to benefit WRT incidence and mortality by smoking tobacco -go figure.

How to manage excess calories

Milanesa:
I found out some snacks that could add a ton of calories to mi daily ingest but i need to know how is best to use them to evade my body not using them and dumping them out

Sugars (Maltose) may hold the key, but be warned that trying to affect your insulin levels to rapidly gain using snacks will likely have detrimental affects to your health.

Its nice to see results, but avoid calorie wastage by tweaking your body's balance is probably ill advised if you want a healthy gain.

Search these forums for use of maltose and maltodextrin. There are a few people who've had good rapid results, preloading the sugars before binging.

Fun theory i've had about new scales for sale.. thoughts? observations?

ILuvChubbyChix:
I almost can't help but notice that over time, the weight limit of new bathroom scales for sale have increased over time.

What I would like to do is gather anecdotal experiences on whether there's any possible truth to this.

Specifically, what country you live in, the weight limit of your scale, and an estimate of when you got it or when it was made. If you have similar information of scales you've had or used over the years, even better.

Speculating on this, here's my thought. Generally speaking, manufacturers love mass produced volume, because of cheaper per-unit costs. Individuals who don't need the extra capacity, can use the new scales with higher capacity anyway, so their needs are still served.

But perhaps they have also figured out there's an ever increasing chance that at least one regular user of the new scale will need the higher limits, which would mean the lower limit scales won't sell as well.

Here's some anecdotal evidence I've some across to start off.

It's been a real long time, but I think I used to see very old scales, the ones that were mechanical and spring loaded, that topped out at only 220 lbs. They always lose calibration, so you had to turn the wheel on the side to set it to 0, before using it. Later models of a similar design, topped out at 280 lbs.

I have a digital, electronic scale that was new in '07 (I only remember so clearly because I would have gotten it right after relocating), and I still have it, working as well as it did the day it was new. However, it tops out at 280 lbs. I look forward to the day when I will have to replace it, because it will say "Err" every time I try to use it.

Anecdotally, I had someone tell me his wife had a scale that topped out at 350 lbs, though he could only say she had it since before they met. However, I would guess it's under 10 years old.

But if I look at brand new scales for sale, every model I've seen tops out at 400 or 440 lbs.

I should note that I'm talking about regular, standard bathroom scales designed for individuals to stand on. Not specialized models with a very high weight limit, either for individuals of very large size, livestock, trucks, etc. Or scientific scales that may perhaps not support more than 10 lbs, but with precision down to milligrams or even a fractions of milligrams.

Funny you say that. I sadly lost a relative a couple of weeks back while clearing their house yesterday I took their scales back here from their bathroom. His has a dial that goes to 18stone (just under 250lbs).

We already have the same brand and size of mechanical scale here (Salter) and it goes to 24stone (350lbs).

If you google Salter Doctors Style scales, you can see some older models mixed in and they all max out at least 70lbs below the current ones for sale.

It appears you're right, at least with the Salter brand

Maturity clothes for big bellies??

BBW44F:
I was having a hell of a time getting jeans to properly fit. Especially with another 25 or so pounds right in the belly. A feeder friend made the comment about trying materity jeans. I bought a pair and now love how they work with even a very bloated and stuffed belly. Anyone else gone to this solution??

My wife kept fainting after out last, when her largest jeans gave way, she went back to her maternity stuff.

It's a relief too as that stuff wasn't cheap so it's nice to see it getting a 2nd life on her growing free

Fat appreciation websites

malikthemagnificient:
Anyone know any other fat appreciation websites?

There's feabie, but it often acts as more like a mix of a dating website and a promo space for webmodels.

Then there are a number of discords which you can search for. One will likely lead to another. Obviously they don't function like here.

There's the forever in development feedist net

And finally, there's the ancient place - dimensions magazine which has a web board.

They're all different. The forums here tend to lead to more meetups. Stories are most active here.
