Any one that says X number of calories in equals Y number of pounds gained is full of it.LOL
I really never kept records of how much I gained at any one time.
I can see how you can roughly calculate how much you'll gain based on your typical level of activity but I never went that deep into the weeds...it takes all the fun out of it. I just enjoy good food, feeling stuffed and I'm kinda obsessed with weighing myself.

Sooooo lazy. At first, the laziness was just a result of being stuffed all the time...no one wants to be on their feet or running around after a big meal. Becoming a couch potato must have had an effect because the pounds piled on fast and now, I'm even lazier because I've gotten so big that getting dressed in the morning alone has become a workout. I haven't been to the gym in months and I rely heavily on delivery services because I'm too lazy to lug groceries home from the market or slave over a stove. I used to be pretty active before I started gaining: constantly going out with friends, happy hour with coworkers and even playing flag football on the weekend but now I blow them off pretty regularly for some couch time and/or good food. Being on my feet just requires too much effort.

I couldn't tell you how it was possible...I just stuffed a bunch and it happened. I can guarantee you though that 3 pounds a week is not the max.
eeeee:
Damn MissPorker - that's awesome! 24 in a week is incredible. Forget 3lbs per month thats like 3 per day! Must have been fun. I know if I saw myself gain 24 in a week i'd convince myself to make an extra effort to get all-out stuffed constantly until the end of the month just to see the results. Like at that point, it's all or nothing. Did you find yourself riding the wave till the end of the month and were able to hit 50?
No, the 24 pounds in a week was me going for a record and it was also regained weight...I slowed down afterwards cuz I really outdid myself. The 50 pounds per month was when I first started gaining last July...I've gained quick throughout but I was gaining ~15 pounds per week consistently right out of the gate. I kept track of things on my blogspot, check out my profile for the link.

The max I've gained was about 24 pounds in a week and 50 in a month. I've been up and down the scale quite a bit (up to 300 down to 260ish, back up to 305 back down to 250, etc.) since I started documenting my gains last July but I was 199.4 on July 14th and I weighed in at 342.6 yesterday, June 2nd.

I was pretty burnt out by the end of the week...I was stuffing insane amounts of food throughout the day but I did enjoy seeing the numbers on the scale go up and up and up.

I started gaining intentionally at about 190 pounds last July and went up and down the scale before stopping at 305 in November. I got freaked out by the holidays and having to deal with family so I started dieting and got down to about 250 by early February which was also about the time I rejoined this site. All the belly envy led to a lazy weekend with some takeout...one binge turned into another which turned into a week long binge because I was fascinated by how quickly I was putting the weight back on. By the end of that week (I documented it on here through pics and gainers), I had gained about 24 pounds going from 253 all the way back up to 277. Since then, I haven't really been motivated to lose so the weight just kept piling on culminating in me weighing in at 342.6 yesterday morning. So, yes, regains can get pretty intense lol
