I believe when the body stores dietary fat as "fat" it is bonded with lots of water. Some 90% of the weight is actually water. So when fat temporarily in the liver got stored in fat cells it would weigh more and take up more volume.
becomingoverweight:
Adipose tissue is mainly fat actually(60-94%). The fat is all stored together in a large droplet of lipids in adipocytes. So I'm not sure that should actually happen. I kind of doubt the dairy fat's being stored in the liver at all. You may be onto something though. Apparently the water content of adipose tissue is very variable. It might be possible that gaining a lot of fat all at once decreases the concentration of water in adipose tissue. It would then rehydrate leading to an increase in water weight. Either that or consuming all that cream induces changes in the body which increase the water content of adipose tissue.
This makes sense to me. When you consider the large amount of water in the body, relatively small percentage changes will make a difference of a few lbs at least.

I think the theory is that some of the fat from the cream stores in the liver and gets stored as fat over a few days.
I certainly noticed that the gain from cream did not start right away and continued for days after I stopped.
becomingoverweight:
That would just be a transfer of mass from the liver to adipose tissue though. The body wouldn't get heavier.
My experience is that there is a delay in the fat getting to the adipose tissue and I'm not sure if the fat is stored in the liver or possibly the lymph system until that happens. I have experienced the weight gain after finishing a few weeks of daily cream on more than one occasion and I suppose changes in water content in the body must cause this (as I'm a great believer in the law of conservation of mass).

I have pants and shirts for a 72 inch waist so I'm good. My mass is proportional to my volume, which is a cubic function of my diameter. In other words, I am a whole 'nother dimension of fat.
Hate to disagree, but wouldn't it be a square function (since your height is not likely to increase with your weight)?

Sir HugALot:
ive been back on the cream again along with overeating, but ive suddenly lost about 4-5 lbs in the past week and half. my measurements are the same and my clothes fit the same. could this be the visceral fat effect it has?
I have found that it often takes 2-3 weeks to have a noticeable effect so keep going and do make sure that the cream is on top of a full overeating diet. Just before bed is the best time for the cream as it won't then reduce your appetite.

I just read this whole thread and now I'm trying heavy cream mixed with half and half and a splash of coffee creamer. I weigh 137 at the moment, lets see where we end up.
Please be sure to update us on your progress. I have every confidence in heavy cream. It's magic!

I am a gainer myself and appreciate fat on others. Whilst I am not looking to feed someone else, if someone close to me was receptive and wanted to gain, I think I would be very tempted to assist.

Going to try to have one of these a day for a month.
Nice. That looks like quite a few calories so should make a difference.

I had this when I gained a year or so ago. I stopped gaining for a month and the problem went away. I have since gained back to above where I was before without the problem recurring. So maybe a break for a few weeks? Gaining has to be fun and heartburn or GERD is bad news.

I've had good results blending a pint of heavy cream with a cup of chocolate ice cream a day.
I would agree with this. However I would substitute nuts for ice cream as I have borderline diabetes.
