Round face

NoMoYoYo:
On this weight gain journey the one thing I've noticed is how quickly my face has started to round.

When I weighed 258, I had a round face (thats my Irish genes). But it seems to be taking hold much quicker this time. This is on top of getting softer overall.

Is a fat, round face something to try to acquire? If not, is there a way to avoid it?

Munchies:
You'll gain where you gain. Nothing you can do about it. Some people get a fat face. Some people don't. It is what it is. If you don't like it, there are surgeries for that.

NoMoYoYo:
A fat face is definitely inevitable for me. It's just never shown up this quickly in previous gains. I think I'm eating even more calories than the last time I gained. I have been trying to gain slower, but I haven't had any luck so far. I'm sure that it's contributing to my softness/fat face.

I don't hate the round face. Like I said, its part of who I am. I don't think I'd get surgery for it. I just think that its a sign I'm gaining too fast. I hope that it doesn't scare me away from gaining even more.

Munchies:
Are you keeping a food journal? You should keep track of what you eat and make note of things. That way you can see where you need to make changes.

It's also possible that your metabolism is getting slower.

NoMoYoYo:
I haven't kept a food journal. I do keep a running tally on my phone's calculator of calories I consume every day. I've been hovering around 4500 calories a day. Friday I reached 5100. The changes I need to make are: Eat less hahaha.

My metabolism is most likely a factor too. Especially since in this gain I've been very sedentary. I'm hoping to start exercising a bit this week.

Munchies:
That's a good start. But remember, not all calories are created equal. If tracking calories is working for you, that's fine. But it's also good to be mindful of the foods you eat. For example, foods high in sodium can cause excess water retention. This would make you appear to be fatter than you are.

There's no doubt I eat salty foods. This weekend especially. Maybe that's all it is.

I should probably lay off salt a bit. I type as I'm sitting at Wendy's chowing down on just under 2000 calories. The Frosty I'm gonna grab on my way out will put me over 2000...and its not as salty lol

How did you found out that you like fat people?

When I went to the Supermarket with my mom, I would look at the magazines at the checkout.

"Which celebrity gained weight?"

"How Linda lost 140lbs" and admire the before picture.

Feeling a tad invisible

ForeverFFA:
Does anyone else get at least mildly annoyed that people outside this community (in popular culture, opinion articles, and even some research papers) tend to implicitly and sometimes explicitly assume that FAs can only be male? And do people have any ideas about why that assumption is so strongly rooted?

Basically fat guys aren't seen as sex symbols. They're often portrayed as slobs and not too bright. So why would women be attracted to them? Yet how many women fatten up their man? Intentionally or not. There are definitely FFAs out there, but for whatever reason its taboo.

Munchies is right that this isn't a trait that can be altered naturally.

Anyway, the very fact that this community exists proves that attractiveness is way more subjective than a lot of people tend to think. My advice is not to worry about what random people who reply to your forum post think.

I am grateful for this community. I've been a fan of fat for as long as I can remember. It isn't always easy to share those feelings. There are parts of me that wants to be 300-400lbs. Super fat. Outside of the community, I can't see myself ever doing that. I think its why I set my goal for 275. I will get there and then who knows!

How early did you get into gaining?

EndlessGain:
When I was younger, I'd always pretend pillows and yoga balls were my belly, and I'd always find episodes of shows where characters got big and round.

I'm curious how early other people got into this, and how early some of the gainers on the site started blowing up into fatties.

I've always been fascinated by fat and especially gaining.

My first conscious awareness is when I was 5 and a baby sitter always commented on how thin my brother and I were. Her family was bigger than mine and it fascinated me.

My sleeping wife

I do shift work and am mostly on the late shift - 6pm-2am. Because of this, my wife is almost always asleep when I get home.

Something happened this week that's never happened before. I got home and got into bed. While I was laying there, she rolled over and her super squishy belly briefly pressed up against my back. It was an amazing feeling. Then it happened again last night!!!! Wow!!!!

I'm not sure why this hasn't happened before. It could be because she's the heaviest she's ever been. It could be that I've gained almost 20lbs recently. Maybe we're just not lying in our normal spots in bed because of our gains. Whatever the reason it feels so good!

Milestone!

Finickyfeedee:
Today, for the first time in my life, I weighed in at above 140 pounds - 141.1, to be precise! I’m sure my real weight is a little lower since I have eaten a lot today, but my previous highest weight while stuffed to the gills was 139.2, so I’m still considering it a milestone.

Earlier today, I also wore a pair of work pants that I hadn’t worn in a while because they had been quite loose and it was annoying that I had to wear a belt with them. They fit uncomfortably tight around the stomach and pretty much perfect everywhere else now. Very exciting, albeit a bit annoying for work since now I definitely don’t have any pants that fit if the big ones won’t (recently because of hot weather, I had been wearing loose dresses and not pants).

I’m currently in the middle of a heavy cream cycle - about a week into it. 140 was actually my goal, but it wasn’t a limit and I’m going to keep going at least until I run out of cream. I didn’t think to start taking them at the beginning, but 3 days ago, my measurements were:

Thigh: 23.5 inches
Belly: 34 inches
Hip: 39 inches
Bust: 34 inches
Waist: 29 inches
Weight: 137.9 lbs

And I’ll update again either when I finish the cycle or feel like they’ve probably gone up significantly, whichever comes first.

I’m drinking cream in much smaller amounts than a lot of people here (1/2 cup in a shake along with 1 cup of chocolate milk), but I’m also a smaller person than a lot of people here, and I have a sensitive stomach so I’m trying to be careful. This small bit of cream has already been a little tough for my guts to weather, but I’m doing better than usual with it and have been eating plenty on top of it as well. Some nights my belly has been so bloated it felt like a beach ball, but mostly, it’s felt intoxicatingly soft. It’s unbelievable how fast cream works even in small amounts, I always forget and expect to have to wait longer.

Congrats and happy gaining!
