Home cooked meals

Is there a good way to gauge calories from home cooked meals? When you get packaged stuff or food from a restaurant it says and you can be sure that’s the number your consuming but for home cooked stuff how can you tell?

If I had roast it was made in the crockpot and it always lost all the flavor and was super unpleasant to eat, at least for me. It always comes as odd when people get excited about roast but maybe it’s just me? My mother was a really good cook, she’d make all the good stuff but roasts just wasn’t it haha.

What does it feel like to go from fit to fat?

I’m almost 300 pounds heavier than what I used to be granted the majority of the first half happened over time and mostly on accident the last 90 or so is all on me being a fatty haha. Biggest change is how much food is on my mind I’m always thinking about the next meal/snack, and portion size is non-existent I’ll put down entire meals intended for a large family solo. There’s also the fact I no longer wear jeans/ slacks with buttons I’m all elastic. Getting up after sitting after a long time is task and if I sit on something, rip sunglasses on the chair it’s going to break. Also if I lay down on top of my comforter and want to pull it over myself I have to get out of bed because I’m to heavy to yank it out from under me.

Family's reaction to right gain

Families can be hit or miss and you do not owe them anything if they are putting you down. My family have only disappointed me, but for what it’s worth they haven’t put me down for my weight

Off the gain train (for now)

I’m just lacking motivation and not feeling it at the moment, like I love how fat I got last year and everything and it’s not like I’m gonna take steps to lose weight or anything - I’m still eating like I love but it just feels different atm. No regrets or anything :/

What foods do you "inhale"?

Chips, if I’m not careful I’ll put down 2-3 bags lol. Currently addicted to the flamin hot bbq ruffles so good. Also flamin hot cool ranch Doritos.

You’ll wanna wear your size first and foremost anything to small will make you feel and look like a sausage, better to go bigger but not to big.

How does someone who's having to work a majority of the week start gaining?

I keep very active at work and don’t do much else and I managed to gain 80 pounds last year your over/under estimating how many calories you burn vs how many you eat, granted my metabolism is like zero from years of cutting weight. Just make sure your not running a calorie deficit and you should start putting on weight, there’s calculators on this website that you enter the weight you wanna gain and the amount of calories daily you need to consume to reach that goal in a length of time.
