Gaining for science

Delta9:
I've have been wondering for some time what exactly happens to excess calories and when will they be stored as fat and how efficient is this process. Especially depending on the type of calories consumed. It seems to me that for some people, they can eat excess calories and the body simply expels it as waste instead of storing as fat. What factors influence whether this will happen? We're told there are about 3500cal in a pound of fat. So theoretically if a person consumed an excess of 35,000 calories over the course of several weeks it would result in 10 pounds fat gain, but I doubt that would actually happen.

I would like people who are intentionally gaining to track their consumption over the course of several weeks and also note the macros: fat, protein, carbs, and also if alcohol was consumed. Then we can compare data to the actual gains and body composition changes if that could be tracked as well.

Frabjous day! This is something that's been extremely well-studied already. Of course, feel free to continue with your experiment. It could be a lot of fun for feedees and gainers to track this stuff.

Basically, how efficient this process is depends on a lot of factors like the type of foods you eat, your basal metabolic rate, activity levels, size, body composition, hormone levels, etc. Some people fatten well, while others don't.

Rambling. feel free to comment or share

Moocao:
Real story except for the names and locations, which are fake for privacy reasons. I am half sharing to get it off my chest and half because I suspect someone may have advice or something. Feel free to comment, but don’t feel obligated to read, this is a long, ranting story.

My name is (not actually) Ron and this is my story.

I have a long time girlfriend (let’s just say her name is) Tiffany.

Tif and I met in college, she was a bit on the chubby side, maybe on the border between chubby and fat. Maybe my standards are absurd, I’ll just say she was 275lbs at 5’6” give or take. She has a large chest and a small butt, her stomach sticks out and she hates it, but I think it’s cute I love all of her curves and edges, all her perfect imperfections. The cheesy dong lyrics weren’t wrong.

Over the course of the next decade we stuck together, but never married. She wanted us to both be stable and have jobs first, and I was going to become a lawyer. I did so successfully, but couldn’t get a job for a year, then lost that one after six months, it took two years got me to get a new one, then I lost that due to the pandemic (immigration firm during the Covid pandemic, border closings did them in.) Then I started having vision problems that gimped my ability to drive or read for extended periods of time. I can usually read and write well enough if I can close my eyes for a minute here and there, so I can write for fun just fine. I am currently applying for disability, but it skiws me down to the point that no firm would take me.

Sorry for rambling, but that’s why we haven’t married.

I have looked at weight gaining stuff online since I was 15 or so, so over half of my life now.. Hentai and written stories exclusively, I never looked at the real thing, and Tiffany said she didn’t mind me using “materials” to masturbate with, though she didn’t want me looking at other women.

So Deviantart, writing.com, 4chan (D mostly), and e-hentai became my go to sources for lewd stuff. By the time I was twenty years old, I added Fantasy Feeder to that list when I hit about thirty.

I used to have an extremely high libido, hell, I kind of do still now. I want to go two or three times a day, and used to try to simulate that myself in private about that often. But with the MS I have developed pretty bad ED, all the weight gain and FA stuff went from being a fun little hobby for a horndog like me, to being the only way I could get off most of the time. I am almost completely numb in a place I’d bet you can guess, I feel nothing physically until moments before orgasm, it makes things difficult without intense mental stimulation, hence the horny writing. I’m down from doing things multiple times a day to three or four times a week, but I still want to terribly badly, I just can’t.

I’m pretty sure Tiffany hates my little kink, or is disgusted by it, or something like that. When I confront her Tiffany flatly denies that, but I still wonder. She flatly refuses to do anything even remotely related to my kinks. I have tried asking her about what she liked, with the hope that maybe we could trade perverted fantasies, but she insists that she is 100% vanilla, so that’s a bust. Since I told her about this Tiffany’s sex drive has plummeted, she went from wanting to do things two or three times a week, to three or four times a year. I have no idea how much of this is from age (as she says), how much is from disgust with my fantasies, and how much is her being less attracted to me in general. If it’s that last one then part of me wants to be angry, but no, I love her. The part that causes me the most turmoil is that, if it’s disgust and/or lack of attraction, I get it. I went from a confident, strong willed young man, to a self hating and self doubting lover reliant on the kindness of others to continue my miserable existence.

Lately it has been getting harder and harder (or not, let’s say more difficult) I get excited without indulging in kinky stuff like this site. I don’t know if that’s because of physical illness, or because I’ve become more and more reliant on it to the point that I have developed an obsession to the point that I l subconsciously think gaining weight = getting off and vise versa.

I am mentally horny almost constantly, which makes the physical limitations all the more frustrating.

Despite her staunch refusal to play into my desires in reality Tiffany has been nothing but supportive of my hobbies revolving around said desires. She knows I write here, and even supports me trying to make a living off of it.

So, that’s where I am now. Writing smut constantly, and trying to understand and make peace with who and what I am.

Maestroff:
Seems pretty typical for this site, not sure how many people really want to be here or like each other. Most females just trying to make $$$ and most men just annoying them. This profile is only a couple years old but I've been on this site for a really long time and it's unfortunate. Once upon a time people connected on common fetishes without a monetary incentive. Then the viral tiktok "I make $1K a day feeding for simps" came and everything changed. I don't knock the hustle but the contempt people show for others is kind of depressing. I'm generally positive and even though I have a bit of sadistic tendencies myself, it's only if the other person gets off on the reciprocal.

Except that's not even true.

The majority of people on here - male, female, and otherwise - are here to be horny, to find love, or to bond with like-minded kinksters. And while there are women on here trying to make money and men being cave-dwelling troglodytes, they are not indicative of the whole.

What's going on is that the cave-dwelling troglodytes end up driving away a good chunk of women and even some of the men. I know a lot of men who've been sexually harassed by these idiots because they didn't read their profiles and assumed them to be female. A good chunk of these victims will leave.

When it comes to women, we have to be guarded for safety. Some stop interacting with men completely. Others become disinterested in engaging in kink sexually or romantically.

Some women are here to make money, but that's not the full picture. Some want to get fat but cannot afford to do so. So they get sponsors and happily eat for them. Some are content creators or hustlers happy to sell their kinky services for a fee. Both groups also engage with kink space outside of financial reasons. For example, I see forum posts from time to time from various content creators engaging with the site like a normal user. They are all delightful.

Some women on here are only here for the money. They are in the minority. And while they are a pain in the ass for men, they aren't any better towards their female counterparts.

Meanwhile, your average guy on here is just some guy. He may not be the most enlightened person, but he isn't trying to hurt anyone, either. Of those that don't get chased off by the cave-dwelling troglodytes, some will leave due to catfish (often other men pretending to be women), scammers (some of which are men or a network of people), and users. Some will become cave-dwelling troglodytes because they do not or refuse to understand why women are guarded and jaded.

Everyone else is just here for a good time. Some people of all genders are also trying to make the community a better place for all.

Maestroff:
Well I was talking in generalities and from my experience from here, real life and places like fet. The dom guys drove off all the dommes is certainly one take. But you were right I was talking in generalities and tendencies, I don't presume all people do anything and I'm definitely not the type to push people to be anything either. I've interacted plenty with switches and dommes.

True, true. Plus, you are forgetting about the very sizable femdom side of the breeding fetish.

And it's not just the doms. It's the subs too. They tend to be asolutely insufferable and gross. I've seen many a woman choose to leave rather than deal with the rampant harassment, disrespect, and entitlement.

Honestly, I'd have peaced out within my first 4 months on the site if I wasn't also a sadist who gets off on torturing creeps.

But I digress.

What happened to this thread lol

This is true.

And it started when a user started making some off color comments that got increasingly off color. So I said something about it. A lot of something about. And he just won't stop with the dog whistles.

I warned him to drop it. He would not. So now we all get to see several rebuttals clamping down on the dangerous misinformation and dog whistles.

As for Fox News, I doubt they wield much influence any longer, particularly after having abandoned their core demographic over the last few years. Cable news in general is out of touch with today's news consumer, as evidenced by their aggregate ratings decline.

Woke by and large never meant to most Americans what it meant in in post-colonial Jamaica. To pretend others in contemporary western society, particularly the low-information masses, will associate the term with its original definition is delusional.

Munchies:
I wholeheartedly agree with you about the first part, so I will leave that as is. But you are greatly misunderstanding everything about the second one.

Marcus Garvey was Jamaican, but the term isn't a Jamaican term. It's a black term made by a Jamaican man.

Garvey was part of the Pan-African movement - an international movement centered on the plight of the black diaspora. It included people from the Caribbean Islands, American, Canada, Europe, and various African nations. And about 100 years later it retains it's original meaning. And though non-black people are welcome to use it, a specific flavor of anti-progressive people are against it. They even coined the term "wokeism" to show how much they hate the word.

This is an active, perversion of a civil rights term. It is an active attempt to disempower a minority group. It is malicious, and people are fighting back:

Today's brand of "woke" is being rejected en masse. Disney's revenue is down. Target's stock is down. AB InBev is desperately trying to disassociate their Bud Light brand from a marketing campaign which drove beer consumers away in droves, now pushing patriotic themes instead. Argentina and Taiwan just elected nationalist leaders, dealing a huge blow to the leftist global elite. People the world over are fed up

Let's take a look at the whole "woke" thing being rejected "en masse". As I just pointed out, the majority of Americans are fine with being woke. However, the majority of conservatives are not.

This is a very big distinction.

Now onto the so-called "woke" brands. As I mentioned before, these brands are not actually woke. These are soulless cash grabs. Do not confuse the two. And let's not forget that Into the Spiderverse,
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
, and The Barbie Movie did extremely well in spite of being labeled woke movies.

No, the problem with Disney has less to do with being woke and more to do with a decline in quality pared with questionable business decisions in the name of profit.

That said. Disney's stocks appear to be rising. And as much as I despise Disney for it's business practices, I'm confident they'll be fine in the long run.

As for Target, it's issues are less about selling Gay flags and more about an overall downward trend for retail. The economy's been rough lately.

As for Bud Light, it's been on a downward slump for ages. People do not care for the product. And while there is a sizable chunk of transphobes drinking Bud Light, that in an of itself isn't enough to cause a downward spiral. Besides, people of all political stripes drink Bud Light. While some people hating seeing a trans woman linked to their beer, the backpedaling pissed off those who supported it. Meanwhile, the new top rated beer in America, Modelo Especial, as a long history of supporting the LGBTQIA+ community.

I am not sure you understand the Taiwan thing. Here's a quick and dirty of the siutation:
theguardian.com/world/2024/jan/16/taiwan-election-president-elect-lai-ching-te-democracy-china
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lai_Ching-te
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democratic_Progressive_Party

Taiwan's nationalism is not the same as White nationalism. Keep in mind that China doesn't consider Taiwan as it's own nation. So for this country, nationalism means something different. Also, the country just elected a man affiliated with a center to center-left party.

Now, you are right about Argentina electing a right-wing politician. But it was less about rejecting progressivism and more about the economy. After all, Javier Melei is a libertarian, not a conservative. It's a very important distinction.

Think of how the term "Jeep" is often used to refer to any off-road vehicle, whether or not it's actually a Jeep product. "Kleenex" is another example. It's commonly known to most Americans to reference facial tissue, regardless of the manufacturer. Most folks have no idea the origin of a brand or term.

We have confused civil rights issues with capitalism.

The whole "Kleenex" and "Jeep" thing is called genericization. This is when a specific brand of something becomes so well known that becomes synonymous with the thing it makes. It's like being burdened by your own success.

As for the term "woke" most people do not have a negative connotation with the word. Most understand it to be a positive thing.

ipsos.com/en-us/americans-divided-whether-woke-compliment-or-insult

They may not know the origins of the term, but since most Americans understand it to be a progressive term, they do not have negative connotations about it.
