You'd be surprised at how many messages we get in the FF Team inbox from members saying thank you for the site, because they have met and found partners or got married to their partner that they met on FF.

It is lovely to get those messages, and I can assure you it's not a rare occurrence as you may think.

I myself had a long term relationship for over 10 years with someone I met from the site. I've made countless friends and gone to loads of meet ups.

Don't forget that we have verified profiles now so you can search for genuine members and also get verified yourself so other members can find you!

1. People with verified profiles will have submitted a photo showing that they are who they say they are.

2. Members with verified profiles have confirmed they are not here to solicit or advertise and are using the site to get to know people and be a genuine member of the community. (If for any reason a person with a verified profile does solicit then please let us know as we will remove their verification status).

Just searched on the forums and I couldn't see a thread for a UK Midlands meet.

But there nothing stopping someone from making a thread about it and organising a midlands meet up. Sounds like at least two of you are interested at least and I am sure more would follow suit!

Yeah why not, you should create a thread and organise a midlands meet if you fancy it.

Have to say I am unlikely to attend, i've done enough travelling over the years to various midlands and London FF meets. Us northern folk always seem to be the ones travelling. So when I reboot this one I will be sticking to Manchester as the location.

Hey all, so I am going to make a call on this one. There's not been much interest from members, and parts of Manchester are still in lockdown so I think it's best to cancel / postpone a meet up.

It sucks, but its more important that everyone is staying safe right now. We can revisit the idea once things get a bit better in the Manchester area.

Not sure if other meets are happening in the UK... I did see talk of a London meet so if anyone that was considering heading up from down south do check that out as that may still be going ahead.

We are trying to keep this under control and have removed the sponsoring requests as soliciting is against site rules. Now we have caught up the mod team will be keeping a close eye to keep on top of this.

We have also removed the personal and dating ads that have been put in this section as the gainers area of the site is specificlly for gaining diaries and blog style posts.

At the moment we have had a huge increase in new members . Some genuine, some who are chancers and some who are actively scamming people due to the Tiktok video that was circulated.

Please help the mod team by reporting any posts, profiles or other content that are soliciting or advertising. This includes asking for sponsors and donations and also offering custom content for cash, gifts, food, clothes etc...
