Difficulties logging off

Sorry to hear you're having problems logging out.

The logout works by deleteing your browser cookie, which means it's browser specific. So for instance if you are logged in on desktop and mobile, and you log out on desktop, you won't automatically be logged out on mobile as well. In a similar way, if you are using two browsers on desktop, if you log out on one you won't automatically be logged out on the other.

Could this be what's happening here?

What could be done to stop so many from leaving the community?

John Smith:
FF is not the only website that undergoes a dramatic loss in audiences.

websiteiq.com/domain/curvage.org/

I've posted a topic about it on the concerned forum. Got deleted within a hour.

It seems no one want to face the truth.

We use Google Analytics to directly measure our website traffic, and this has shown to be pretty consistant throughout 2020, if anything with a slight increase.

I think the title of the thread is refering to the turnover of members and questioning why some people don't seem to stay longer than a few months. We're working behind the scenes, continually improving the website to try and retain people for longer, although it does seem that many people return, even creating new accounts after having deleted their old ones.

Can't watch videos

We've recently tested the videos (without VPN) on most of the latest browsers and devices. Including, Safari, Chrome, Samsung and UC Browser (where applicable) on:

Apple iPhone
Samsung Galaxy
Google Pixel
Huawei P30 Pro
Motorola Moto G7
Windows 10
Apple Catalina

You shouldn't have any problems watching videos on these devices so long as you're not using a VPN. If you do encounter any problems on the above please let us know.

As a side note, the latest premium videos are now being streamed via a Content Delivery Network, meaning the data will come from a server near to your location, wherever you are in the world. This should speed up the service dramatically during busy times.

Who changed the navigation coding?

So, out of curiosity, what is the proposed method of navigation for story's that have upwards of 100 chapters? it seems rather inconvenient to have to click 100 or more times to reach the latest chapter.

Good point and thanks for bringing this up. There's nearly always an exception and we'll try and come with an alternative solution to this. Perhaps through bookmarking or something similar.

Unable to buy premium

Hi SinGalor,

I've found the following on the PayPal website which I hope may help:

Why was my debit or credit card declined?

To help protect your account, PayPal uses a complex screening process for credit card payments. This helps prevent lost or stolen cards from being used for unauthorized transactions. On rare occasions, the screening process affects valid cards.

A credit card might also be denied if:

* The card issuer is having technical problems that prevent authorization of a transaction.
* The card issuer sees a charge that doesn’t fit your normal spending patterns and blocks the transaction to protect you.
* You’ve inadvertently exceeded the limit on your card.

If you know that your credit card is valid but your payment doesn’t go through, you might want to:

* Contact your credit card issuer directly. Ask why your card was declined, and whether you can still use it. If you can still use your card, please try your transaction again.
* Pay securely online using your bank account. You can link your bank account to your PayPal account in just a few minutes. The merchant never sees your financial or other personal information.
* Link a different credit card to your PayPal account.

Hope this helps.
