I took a small break from actively gaining weight, I basically just spent two weeks eating a normal amount of food and because my metabolism is so annoyingly fast I lost around 10 lbs. But somehow in that time I started getting stretch marks on my sides just underneath my armpits. The stretch marks on my love handles which had turned a white/purple color also started to turn bright red at their tips and grew a little longer. I have no idea how this happened since I lost weight. Either way I'm now going to try to gain it back plus a lot more
sounds to me more like skin irritation on stretch marks that were already there. I tend to notice more stretch marks when I’m less bloated so maybe you justice noticed them not being as buffed up from losing weight. Skin and skin elasticity is weird

people have probably started to accept you as a fat person where as before they might have tried to push you back into the gym/diet- thinking that it might motivate you to go back. Now they are accepting you as you are obviously I’m not inside their head but I would think that they are genuinely just trying to make you feel good, just like any other person. You’ll get the “have you lost weight you look good” all the time.

Morbidly A Beast:it’s tough but I’m still around just thought it might keep me from overeating but I can’t seem to stop
Munchies:Well, do you have a plan in place?
Morbidly A Beast:Was good for a few days actually did like 2 days with a fast then broke yesterday and today but I went and got some stuff for salads and chicken. I did go to physical therapy, which was good. I don’t really know where to start
Munchies:I'd start by noting your strengths, weaknesses, and short-, medium-, and long-term goals to get your bearings on this. Play to your strengths, and devise a plan to deal with your weaknesses.
I’ll try that thank you. probably gonna take it easy within reason this weekend. But even my splurges yesterday and Tuesday were moderate relative to normal. I haven’t been on a scale at all but I doubt much has changed.

I’m just glad it wasn’t worse, you find a previous unknown lump on your body and you think the worst, happy in that regard.
I don’t know how to control myself around food anymore and where to even start is my biggest thing. I’ll be going through with it just as a note I’m def not risking my health.
Hopefully some weight loss and physical therapy fixes it the Dr said surgery is the last option so that’s a plus. Probably gonna be stepping away for a while, hopefully I come back again I like being this big

I have always had some pain in mid side for along while it comes and goes but over the weekend It was extremely painful and I felt a lump I’ve never noticed before I can’t see it or anything only feel it so i got an appointment. I went to the doctor today turns out I have a rib cage cartilage hernia and because of my weight and the obvious issue of my large amounts of fat they want me to lose weight so they can get in and fix it, and while I get it to an extent is that really there only option? just wanted to vent a little because I just feel like this is turning point for me.

Bobo:
A tailor is your friend! That's first. I can't tell you how many things fit funny as my body grew and grew and i really wanted to look like a sharp fat dude. Tailor fixes pants, shirts, coats. I mean it's money but I assume you're talking about a professional situation so 5 or 10 buckaroos for an alteration won't kill ya.
Second - to be comfy, let the belly hang out and put a loose (and tailored) jacket over it. Or just let it be "out there" and others can deal.
Around the waist is ok, but ya kinda look like a barge and it can be distracting or uncomfortable because the pants slip down anyway and you have to keep pulling them up which sux.
Suspenders are a classy way to pull off the "fat man in charge!" thing. AND they hold up the damned pants.
Hope this helps!
Yup, Quite telling that when you see big guys they are really dressed up or seemingly underdressed and that’s because expensive tailoring is the only option in many cases

As you get bigger you’ll realize it’ll get harder and harder to clothe yourself — there’s a reason why bigger guys don’t seem to dress well and it’s because it’s all that fits fat guy stores usually don’t have much more than 5xl
I gave up on non elastic a while back because it became to much of a struggle to reach around my belly to button. But I felt like a goober when my pants went around my belly
